Troubleshooting ignition issue on my 07 Ram 5.9 cummins. It did not solve the problem (TIPM) but didnwork properly otherwise and was an easy install.

I bought this troubleshooting hvac controls. The one thing I noticed right away was that the long pin on the bottom is made of a lot softer plastic than the original. The factory one I needed something to pry the tab out to release whereas on this one I can just pull it off. The functions worked great except it would always think the key is in even when its not which makes it so it always dings and you can't lock the doors. I ended up putting the original back in. My best guess is because the lock tab is softer than the original it doesn't hold in place the same making it think a key is always in.Pros: Does work + PriceCons: Might think key is always in ignition

The battery kept going dead.Changing the switch fixed it.
