About this item

  • Precise Dual Laser Pointers: Get accurate readings from a safe distance with our dual laser pointers. The 16:1 distance-to-spot ratio allows you to stand clear of heat sources while maintaining precision. Note: The laser guides your aim, but the actual measurement is taken from the area under the lens.
  • High-Precision Temperature Measurement: Featuring cutting-edge sensor technology and a high-quality Fresnel lens, this thermometer covers a wide range from -50℃ to 800℃ (-58℉ to 1472℉). It delivers results with an accuracy of ±2% in just 0.5 seconds. Adjustable emissivity from 0.1 to 1 ensures accurate readings across various materials including metals, bricks, and ceramics.
  • Temperature Alert System: Stay informed with audible alerts for temperatures outside your set range. This industrial-grade thermometer also offers auto shut-off (with adjustable timing), data hold, and the ability to measure minimum, maximum, and average temperatures. Easily switch between Fahrenheit and Centigrade.
  • Easy-to-Read Backlit Display: The large, backlit LCD screen ensures clear visibility in any lighting condition. Comes complete with a protective case and battery. This digital infrared thermometer is perfect for inanimate objects, with a Class II laser and an optical power of less than 0.5mW at a wavelength of 630~670 nm.
  • Versatile Infrared Thermometer: Utilize infrared technology to measure the surface temperatures of various objects, especially those at extreme temperatures. Ideal for cooking, BBQ, grilling, and monitoring electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and automotive systems.

This is very convenient and fast to use, once you get the battery compartment open. It has a lot of features, some of which I could figure out and some which I could not.I spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out what the manual meant by "please using the finger indents to pull open the battery door" and elsewhere "press the battery door clip." It turns out this is completely wrong: the correct way to open the battery door was to take out a screw using the supplied screwdriver. Go figure. I suppose the old model had a door that opened without a screwdriver and they updated the device without updating the manual. Using a screw to hold down the battery door is more secure, but less convenient for battery changes: It is quite difficult to get the screw back in because it is inside an indented area too small for a finger. On to functionality:The laser spot shows exactly where you are measuring temperature, and the temperature measurement is fast. To get the most accurate measurement you have to select an emissivity value that matches the substance you are measuring. You also must be sure you aren't getting any reflected light: When I took this outside it said the ground was 140 degrees F because the ground was reflecting some of the sunlight. The thermometer is very full-featured, with the ability to alarm when aimed at something above/below a pre-set temperature, the ability to hold a temperature reading, calculate max and average temperature, and even has a memory. It also has the ability to turn on and off the red laser spot and screen backlight. Unfortunately, the manual doesn't explain how to use a lot of these features in detail. Some I was able to guess, some I wasn't. The memory feature eluded me completely. The manual speaks of reading and setting the "date" but there is no date/time displayed and no date shown as I push the button. I think maybe there is an error in translation. The bottom line is, if you want a thermometer that works quickly and well, and you don't need any of those functions that are so hard to figure out, this is a good choice.I probably would have given it five stars if it had a good instruction sheet that explained everything well.

This infrared thermometer is a reliable tool for anyone needing quick and precise surface temperature readings. The dual laser pointers make aiming simple, and the 16:1 distance-to-spot ratio lets you stay safely back from hot surfaces. I tested it on everything from my stovetop to HVAC vents, and the readings were consistently fast and accurate. The adjustable emissivity is a great feature for working with different materials, and the backlit screen is easy to read in low light. Not for use on people, but perfect for cooking, mechanical work, or electrical diagnostics. Solid build and comes ready to use right out of the box.
