Product Description

EXTREME GRIP STUDS – ROCK GRABRZ

Rock Grabr’z boot studs are designed to provide maximum grip on the toughest surfaces – heavy surf, ice, slimy rocks, or slippery cave floors.

ROCK GRABR’Z are designed for the toughest use – climbing on slippery weed-covered rocks, deep, snow-covered ice, and serious ice trekking where a sharp, deep bite is required for safety and traction. The large, solid carbide head is designed to bite deep into the surface and to provide a positive grip for the user. The integrated washer head prevents rollovers for a better bite. They will even grip on rocks. These boot studs are a must for all serious surf fishermen, cavers, rock climbers, and mountain climbers. They’re easy to install and can be removed when not needed and re-installed again when needed.

SEE WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING

“After 6 weeks of testing, we have not had any foot-pokng, we have not lost any studs and we have had minimal rollover. We’re very happy with the RockGrabrz and right now, they’re running away with the win.” – Surfcasters journal

I installed Rock Grabr’z Boot Studs on a new pair of work boots. Previously I had been using a strap-on product. The improvement is amazing. Before if there was an ice and snow-covered area on a sloped trail, I would be very cautious. Now I have complete confidence that I won’t fall.” – Peter

“In one of my recent posts, I mentioned that I was currently using the ROCK GRABR’Z lug with Simms Headwater Felt boots. Awesome combination. BTW, I’ve been working this combo hard, this past couple of weeks and every lug is holding its place. No bend overs or rusting screw shanks.” – David. MD

These carbide tipped traction cleats work great on ice. I inserted them into my strap on traction cleats as a replacement to my hardened steel cleats that continued to wear out and became useless. This product supplied an installation tool but it does not fit the carbide tip cleat. I was able to insert them with my socket set tools.

They grip the rocks and everything else very well but the only problem I have had with them is I had a couple of them brake and only fishing for about 20 hours. But other than that they grip very well.

I used these for years in surf fishing boots, the last two purchases the quality has been awful. Not even sure these are carbide anymore. The photo was a stud I went to install in my boot and fell on my garage floor, the entire top that appears glued and maybe tac welded on fell off…. Very disappointing. I also received two studs in the box of 50 that didn’t even have a stud, just a screw.

I put these in my Irish setter work boots for extra traction in the winter time and if I knew I was working outdoors all day, left 3 in the heel around the center diamond all year and Im buying more to do it again I do a ton of walking at work and they really helped to not wear down the soles so quickly, also adds a bit of a marchers' click when you step, so I'm not sneaking up on people, and.. it's a bit intimidating to hear walking behind you on the sidewalk so people straighten up a bit when I do 😂. Pretty sure they're made to go into felt fishing wader soles, so if you put a good amount of friction on them they can rip out of a RUBBER boot sole I found that out after studding the entire boot bottom for a hike I lost just couple. Works for my purposes, winter and woods traction and reducing boot wear, would recommend!

Very good on ice and other slippery surfaces. Good quality and have stayed put in my boots. Seems we get more freezing rain and ice each year.
