This is a great item to have on hand when cooking. Everything placed in this go to my composting plans. Using this means you are sending less items to landfills. Give it a shot and you will like doing it. It does not cause any odors in my kitchen.

This garbage pale is a bit too small for me. Advantages: fits under the sink, and has to be emptied regularly, disadvantage it has to be emptied regularly. The fits extremely tightly but it is hard to get into place because of this. Often the lid slips into the pail, which of course makes it not at all touchless. It's an attractive bucket that does the job.

I was using a small open bucket just outside the kitchen but you can imagine the problem with knats and smell. This is the perfect answer for my compostable peelings and veg leaves. And I can keep it in the kitchen. I am thrilled to have found it!!

I bought this bin because we had a problem with sugar ants this summer, and I was hoping for a pest-proof bin, as this was advertised. It's very nice to have a filter, I suppose, but the holes allow small insects like ants to get through very easily. In addition, I didn't pay close attention to the need for renewing the filter, etc., which makes this bin less than eco-friendly. It was also packaged so that it arrived with a big dent on the side. Were it not for the pandemic, I would have returned it.
