It's nice and large, but the size of the little sticks that compose it is large, and the material that ties them is thick. It is usable, especially if you cover it with plastic film (ugh) but otherwise it's very coarse.

Used this to make a bunch of sushi for a potluck. I failed to roll them but it definitely wasn't the fault of this mat. Making sushi is fun, will definitely keep using this. Be sure to wrap it in saran wrap though - it's super hard to clean off the stuff between the sticks

I was pleasantly surprised to also have gotten the spoon along with the mat! The mat is easy to use and I'm happy to have one.

I am new to sushi, so I have no personal comparison to make, but know what I like about this item. I read over several descriptions before settling on this roller. What seemed a good idea to me was the half round configuration, which really does seem to work really well. The size was to me a perfect fit for the nori I was using. Also, you can't complain about the price; all in all a good buy.

These are excellent, I really like the bamboo better since the slats stay more uniform from side to side when tightening the roll. The silicone mat is good, easy to wash if you get rice on it but stretches when trying to tighten the roll. Both are made very well and will buy again.

Quality sushi mat. I use it often, and it is still in great condition. No issues with unraveling or wear and tear. Serves it's purpose well, which is to taper and shape nori, rice, and assorted other ingredients into perfect sushi. I will be purchasing some of these mats as holiday gifts for friends and family.
