Looks beautiful and sturdy but too large for seniors hands. Neither me or my husband can use it on a regular sized jar. The handles do not clasp together, forcing you to keep your hand fully open. The “rim” lifter device is too thick to get under the rim due to the thick plastic coating. I give this 2 stars due to the great little spatula, which I use.

I mostly got this set for the jar opener, but the extras of the gripper pad, bottle opener, and even the spatula are also nice, even if they get used less (in the case of the gripper pad and spatula, that is only because we already have ones which we have been using so we automatically grab for them first). I also like how the bottle opener has the pictures of its different functions on the handle to remind one of what all it can do.The jar opener works quite well. However, some jars still are just difficult to get started and no matter what, you will need some hand strength to make it work so this isn't a miracle product, but it does about the best of any jar opener which I have used. I also like how it is as slip resistant as possible. We've had at least a couple of other styles of jar openers, which although they can work, are more slip prone and have led to pinched fingers upon occasion, which this product would not do.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a weakling when it comes to opening jars or teeny tiny water bottle lids. I’ve tried everything: whacking them on the bottom of the jar, thumping the lid on the counter, calling my husband and asking him to open it. The only thing that works if my husband is home are the handy openers. The bigger on will open almost any size jar with ease. No more swearing and sweating trying to open a jar. Works every time. The small opener is just as handy. As a bonus you get a small jar spatula for cleaning everything out of that jar you just opened without having to to get your spouse.

This can and bottle opening kit is very functional because it can open any size of lid. It's very easy to use. Sometimes I'm very tired and some lids are very difficult to open, and this kit makes life easier.
