I got these to replace the lock on a Thule style roof box that I got used and missing the keys. the cylindrical cylinder type lock has a much more sturdy key in case something gets jammed against the mechanism inside. all I had to do to get it to work was drill an additional hole in the lever so it matched the throw of the original. It's working well.

Metal is of poor quality. Nut would thread on easy but when snugging the nut down, threads would fail. This happened with every lock assembly.

These locks replace the “everyone has the same key” issue for RV’s. It works perfectly and fits exactly in the same hole as the standard lock that’s on the RV. No one will have the same key to your RV storage!!!
