What a great set of wood numbers and letters!! The entire set is all wood. The letters and numbers are painted and have a nice clear coat on the top, so the paint won't come off after being dropped on the floor or getting wet from, you know, being in kid mouths. They are also very easy to clean, which is great! We've been working on letter sounds and letter identification with my 2 year old, and these pieces are great because the letter is in the shape of an animal that starts with that letter! So helpful. I'd say these are great for 2-3 year olds. These two sets hold great educational value, and I like that they are high quality, durable, and can be passed along to another family once we are finished with them.

This is a cool toy for 1-2 year olds with adequate supervision since they are small enough to fit in their mouth. The set is all wooden and fits together well, the color and design are appealing for small children.

If you’re looking for a wooden learning tool to interact/teach with the alphabet and some numbers, this is a high value, high quality set. It comes with the alphabet and numbers set (also an equal sign, plus and minus sign to do some light addition and subtraction as well). The individual letters and numbers also have written on them additional options (numbers have the number name, letter have the animal they’re shaped/decorated to look like, to match their designation, I.e., M is designed to look like a monkey and it has monkey written on the M). Lots of possibilities for interaction with your child. Would not give this to an infant to hold, pieces are eatable size, but I would show it to them and you can scale up your interactions as your child learns more. Would recommend!

These are great, really. The colors are bright, and the pictures are beautiful and fun! I love how they made each letter an animal. They are easy to pick up and put back into their spots. Great learning activity for a toddler. Perfect size for little fingers learning to grasp and sort. I love that it came with letters and numbers. Definitely worth the price.

Our granddaughter is about to turn one so we wanted to get her a present that would educate her as well as be fun so I ordered the JoyCat Wooden Alphabet & Number Puzzles. The puzzles come individually wrapped in a box with the company name but no images of the contents. The puzzles are very well made and feel nice and sturdy. Each puzzle is 0.25 inches thick so it is going to last and there will be no warping. Each letter piece has an animal that starts with that letter painted on it and each number has different images on them, but not related to numbers. The colors are all bright and whimsical. The spaces that hold the letters/numbers are perfect for toddlers as they are slightly larger than the pieces so that they don't need super fine motor skills to get them in place.I really like these puzzles. My wife was a pre-k teacher for almost two decades and has seen her share of puzzles and she said these are some of the best she has seen. That alone makes it worth the $17 price tag.

We try to avoid plastic early childhood toys, especially until they're old enough to stop putting everything in their mouths! These 2 wooden puzzles are exactly what I was looking for. Smooth and well made, nice colors and design, educational on multiple levels. They teach the alphabet and numbers but also fine motor skills in Baby trying to place in piece in the shape it belongs. As Baby gets older the pieces can be used for simple words and simple math. This is a great set for a decent price.
