I purchased this replacement screen and although it looks like new the touchscreen does not work. I can’t change my radio station , use my navigation or set my clock. I’m so disappointed because I’m still going to have to take my car to the dealership to get it fixed. A waste of money.

Parts of my Cadillac screen weren’t picking up on touch so I found this replacement for a good price. It came it on time. My husband had fun trying to pull the old one out and put this one on but that’s just Cadillac for you. Once installed, it worked perfectly! Looks just like the original. It’s been replaced for a several months now and it’s still going strong! Very happy with my purchase.

Thankfully I have a friend who was able to install it. He said watching the you tube video helped. It took approx. 2 1/2 hours. My screen started cracking from the corner. No apparent reason, but started spreading across the screen. Eventually it kept the air conditioner from turning off. Dealer said it would be $1200 to replace the cue. Obviously I am grateful that this product was under $30. Everything is working correctly again.

I purchased a used Cadillac that had a broken cue screen and info on that said those loose some gel and when the screen goes bad nothing works. I thought it was worth a try to replace the cue screen before buying a whole new unit since the price was right. Getting a new system installed by a professional would cost nearly $1000. So I looked on YouTube for directions. It was a complex, detailed procedure but PTL it worked. My husband and I did it together. One word of advice…unhook the battery. I didn’t do that and the procedure burned my battery out and I had to get a new battery. It took about 3 or 4 hours but my system now works beautifully!

I watched a YouTube video on how to install the new screen. It took around 3 or so hours with 2 people. It works great! Definitely a great alternative to the $3k that we got quoted to get one professionally installed.

I am Very technically skilled but this effort took me to a new level. There is no instruction book, utilized Youtube videos(pick a good one). First the tools to pry the dash, shifter mid cover off worked great. You still need your standard tools to disconnect your car battery, unscrew the 6 plus screws, and be skilled at understanding delicate electronic circuit boards are.Good product to save money but get help or assistance with a savvy mechanic, car radio installer, friend, etc. I am very savvy at home repairs, electronics, etc., so I gave it a shot to save money. The first time through I attempted to reinstall and had no power to the unit. One of the white ribbons you don't even touch became loose after trouble shooting on Youtube(90 percent of failure is white ribbons became loose). I would recommend a friend assist who is technically skilled at electronics or car radio installation to save time and effort(it took me six hours uninstalling, installing, reinstalling, troubleshooting, etc.). You don't want to damage anything or get frustrated. Simple to do with experience of some kind, but maybe paying a radio guy 75-125 bucks may suit others. The dealer does charge 1300-1500 for new cue including installation. We had ours go out completely five years ago but it was under warranty, now the screen touch hasn't worked for about six months. Installation works great, touch screen works, no issues!

Girls, it takes a lot of work to get to the screen. So if you're not handy, get a professional to do it. It took me five hours and I had extra screws left over(I forgot where to put them.lol), but the everything went back on fine. And it's just the glass not the oed,led uh, thingum. Be very careful with all the parts. I followed a video on you drive. The guy with the towel. He shows you from beginning to end. I got tired and skipped the reinstall hence the extra screws. I'll get a professional next time. These screens are known for, cracking over time.

I lost 4 hours trying to install it and the truth is:The touch screen it doesn't work!Don't buy it, do not waste your time trying to install something that doesn't work!
