Absorbs and gets rid of the smell when they actually use it. My three guinea pigs don't dig around in it or anything so there is minimal excess that falls out. My one will occasionally chew on it, but I'm not worried about it.

Very nice bedding for our dwarf hamster.It has a mix of two colors.We did a separation in his habitat with two different types of bedding and you can see that the Kaytee Clean & Cozy bedding is thinner than the other one bought at a pet store. It’s easier for hamsters to burrow themselves into it. It separates better as well.As a eco-concerned customer, I’m happy to know it’s made from natural recycled paper.It’s guaranteed to be odor-free for 2 weeks, so I’m happy about that too, since the hamster stays in my daughter’s bed.

I was very surprised that this bedding had a 14 day odor protection guarantee and was excited to try it because of that. I use this brand for their other bedding, and this one did not seem to be made differently. It was very compact in the packaging so you just needed a couple handfuls and breaking the pieces apart fill the bottom of the litter box. I used it for two litter boxes for rabbits. I will say it lasted a little bit longer than other versions without an odor but after four days, it started to smell. I might get away with a week with one of the bunnies but the other one has to be changed sooner. Would never last 14 days but still it’s better than other bedding I have used.

So far this has been the best paper bedding I have found for my rats. It is on the pricier side when you have a lot of ground to cover with depth so I mix it with just brown paper bedding also.

I like the fact that you don't have to use as much. We have one Guinea pig that we use this for and it really fills in the extra-large area we have for him. We don't have to change his cage as much and you hardly notice the smell. Very cost effective. And safe for the environment.

For my two bunnies, this lasts more than 14 days. Their litter boxes are crated, meaning this litter does not come in contact with their feet. It seems to do a good job.
