These key cap risers are very easy to apply. Not so easy to remove, but with patience it can be done. Be sure to unplug the keyboard first! The material is very clear so you can see letters right through them. They look really cool on a backlit keyboard. My wife says she can't wait to do her nails and see if they improve her typing speed. These are a great add-on to upgrade your keyboard. I haven't tried it yet, but I think they would also be great for people who are learning to type as you can mark the home row keys for practicing. On some keys, where there are two symbols for using with the modifier keys, it's a little harder to see both symbols, but enough of it is visible that you'll know which key to press. I think the adhesive is a little on the strong side, but that's great for people who travel with their keyboard so these risers will not spontaneously pop off.
