I ordered this Edivd Kids Blonde Princess Wig Girls Long Platinum Blonde Braided Ponytail Wig for Cosplay Heat Resistant wig to add to my family’s costume collection.My family loves costumes. My husband and I both always felt we didn’t quite belong to this time period somehow, out of step with the modern world. Our teenager definitely marches to his own drummer. We all feel that jeans and tees are a bit bland, even boring, and so our house is stuffed with capes and helmets and corsets and top hats and doublets and boots and gowns and togas and wigs. Lots of wigs.We didn’t have a flaxen blonde wig, so I was pleased to add one to our collection. Obviously it is styled like a famously chilly Disney princess, but wigs can be restyled. And I have plenty of princess dresses that would look great with Elsa-blonde hair.My son also pointed out that it could be used for a man’s Revolutionary-era wig. It isn’t quite white powdered, but it is very fair. And many colonists wore their hair long but not powdered.When the wig arrived, I gave it a good hard shake, to remove any loose hairs. Only a few came out. Usually an inexpensive costume style wig like this loses more hair in the first shake. That was a good sign that the wig was well made, and wouldn’t shed heavily with use.This came with a small wig cap. I have long, curly hair. It can sometimes be a challenge to get it all under a wig, but I managed to tuck it all up and under.This is listed as a wig for girls, but its size (about 19”) is in keeping with many other costume wigs we own. The wig is built on a net and lace cap with two adjustable straps. We opened the straps up and the wig measured closer to 20 1/2”. I think girls and adults could wear this wig. Just be aware of your own head size, and what size wigs you usually wear. If you have a larger head, this may not fit.The flaxen color of the wig is striking. The long braid at the back is nicely styled. The broad, high hairline opens up the face, making your eyes look larger.Unfortunately, the sides of this wig were where I had a few problems with styling. The flaxen hair is swooped back from the face for that high, wide hairline. But from the temples down, there are a number of shorter hairs that tend to work their way loose from the styling. When they get loose, the hair looks thin, wispy, even slightly unkempt.These hairs can be tucked back into the wig or behind your ears, but they keep working their bay loose. They have that growing-out look, when bangs are too long, but not long enough to do anything with, so you keep sweeping them behind your ears while you try to decide what to do with them.The rest of the wig is really lovely, I just don’t love the short loose hairs between the temple and ears. The braid is so nicely woven that the loose edge hairs look messy in comparison.Obviously this wig is ideal for Disney princess costumes or cosplay. It would also be great for Octoberfest, or other Germanic or Nordic costumes. And, as my son pointed out, a man could wear this for a period costume from time periods when men had longer hair worn in a ponytail or plait.This isn’t a real human hair wig, it’s an inexpensive costume wig. If that’s what you’re looking for, a wig that’s ideal for costumes, cosplay, school plays, concert/party/club “dress up”, I think you’ll be pleased with this one.
