It features K&K's new and updated Trinity Pro Preamp, which adds a phase switch to the microphone channel for improved feedback resistance and a smoother overall tone. Got the pre-amp box with the two pickups. Bought the mike pickup as well as the under-the-saddle one. Had a luthier put them in. Did a great job. Love the ability to feather both sounds or isolate one for the other.The pre-amp box is a stereo in (from the guitar) and a mono out. You can open the pre-amp box and adjust each pickup for gain, treble, mid, and base. Really like this feature.Overall I love the K&K setup. Gives a pretty true acoustic sound for the guitar.

I recently got my hands on this K&k trinity and I love it. I am still exploring it. I own a few high end guitars with very decent pickups and the K&K is by far the best. It sounds just like your acoustic guitar and the mic adds air, making the sound more natural. I will update my review in the future for its reliability. So far, I think I found the one!

This system does a great job at picking up the percussive elements of my playing but it is clunky, prone to feedback, and not convenient to adjust or install. It does do the job and sounds decent with some work though, especially when blended with a magnetic pickup.

For superior sound quality, tone that is accurate to your actual acoustic guitar, & perfect controls look no further than this pickup. K&K stuff is great in general but this is the Rolls Royce of pickups. I ditched an LR Baggs Anthem for this and never looked back.

I've tried both LR Bags and the Trinity pro and the Trinity pro is the closest you could get to a condenser microphone

It took me awhile, due to personal issues, after I ordered this before I finally got it installed and tested. I have a serious problem with pre-amp. At first I thought it wasn't working at all but noticed it would momentarily switch on when the pre-amp got jiggled. I took the cover off and noticed when I picked up the battery it created a lot of loud crackles but if I held it just so, the pre-amp was working. I found that when I put the top cover on which pressed the sides together some kind of short would cause the pre-amp to cut out. If I put the cover on so it is inside the side walls, pushing them out, it seems to work. Obviously this is a faulty unit but since I am past the window for a return I guess I will have to live with it or see if I can order the pre-amp separately.
