Bought these in order to make perfect hole to run tubing through plastic contains but needed a snug fit. These bits were the perfect solution I can drill until I have the right sized hole and if I need it a little bigger its a breeze to widen it a bit.

Really nice step bit set, and the case and automatic punch are a great addition. For anyone who's ever had a bit skate out of the spot you were trying to drill into, the punch alone makes this kit worth having, and you can adjust the force of the automatic punch, too. The case is well made, and holds everything together well, so I'm very happy with my purchase. :)

Needed to drill some bigger holes in a plexiglass item I paid some good money for to be able to mount it and was super nervous to use my drill for fear of cracking the existing holes in the corners as I widened them. Thought I’d try these and they did great! Was able to easily widen the mounting holes without any damage or cracking or chipping to the plexiglass. Very satisfied.

Drill bits work just fine and haven’t dulled out on me yet. On the other hand, the center punch was useless. It stopped working after the first use.. the springs inside deformed after my first attempt of using it.

I added a receiver hitch to my lawn tractor and needed to add 4 bolt holes in the rear frame plate of my lawn tractor. After using the center punch I started with a 1/8" HSS drill bit for each hole and then used the medium sized step bit. I did add some machine oil as I drilled. These bits are reasonably sharp and didn't dull during the task. The set of bits came in a (somewhat cheesy) case. I'd recommend this set for occasional use - if you're using them every day they may not last that long - it may be worth spending about double the cost of this set for a single bit but it's hard to go wrong for the price....

I was looking for a good step drill bit set for awhile now and these did the job! I needed them for a project and had no issues with them cutting into sheet metal or acrylic glass. They got the job done and the holes had no tear out. They even come on a little box which is a plus. So annoying when they don't, so they are easy to organize. Great but!

These step bits come with a nylon pouch and a spring-loaded center punch. The center punch allows for the bits to start at the right spot - an invaluable tool. The bits themselves are unremarkable, as a tool should be - sturdy, utilitarian, and not causing need for concern during use. I have used these on steel for mounting hardware up to 3/8" thick without any difficulty.Great value, sturdy, and with exactly the right accessories.
