This was a great buy, bought the pair for my 1999 Honda civic sedan (EK) and I am about to get the two front ones soon. Car feels almost brand new. Would definitely recommend.

Replaced my rear struts on my 1999 honda civic. Have Eibach sportline lowering springs matched with the Excel -G struts the difference is night and day car feels like a new car with a mild stiffer feel. I will be purchasing the front struts. I recommend these struts over any cheap ones your thinking of buying at a local shop. Struts were super easy to I stall and feel a little beefier than OEM.

Bought these struts to pair with some Tein lowering springs. Not only do they come together easily but they make for a great ride. Not harsh on bumps. Just as smooth as OEM struts.

I bought a pair of these for my 97 Civic HX. The ride quality at first was good but they don't last. After 2 year and 22,000 miles of commuting, the driver side shock has blown out and is leaking fluid all over the shock body. Ride quality is now very poor because of this. I would have expected them to last longer than 2 years. They are suppose to have a lifetime warranty. I'm in the process of trying to get KYB to cover one of them under warranty. We will see how that goes and I'll update my review accordingly.Update 7/9/14 - Both rear shocks are now leaking. Trying to deal with KYB is useless. KYB just keeps telling me to return them to the place of purchase, which is not helpful. It seems they are a company that doesn't stand behind their warranty or their product.

Like I mentioned in my review for the front this is for one shock. If you need both for the rear, order two. If you need all four also order two of the above linked. Also, this item is flat black not silver like the image shows. Just be aware that if you want a silver one, you'll have to order the "GR-2" or get some silver paint...Others complain that this one shock is listed at the price of two. Baloney. This item is competitively priced and if you are a Prime subscriber the free 2-day shipping sweetens the deal.Good quality. Marked "Made in Japan" if you care about that kind of thing.Installation pending, thus product performance notes pending.

I was motivated to write this review as the other reviews are related to shipping or expecting to get a pair for the price of one.My objective was to replace the shocks as close to OEM as possible without shelling out 150 bucks each from the "stealership". My 97 Civic LX is not lowered or tricked out with high performance parts. The KYB GR2 is a great solution.Great product. I recommend renting a spring compressor. Not a hard DIY job. I didn't see a huge improvement over the old shocks so I may have replaced them a little prematurely.Rapid free shipping as usual. Great product.
