Ordered for a 660 rhino and wish I read the reviews first. Gaskets don't match and the clutch doesn't fit on the crank. What a mess, thanks for the ok sorta fit kit! Don't waste your money.

this kit is not for a 660 yamaha Rhino and there is no support call and all you get is a anwering machine and no call back..

I have a 2006 Rhino 660, which the discription says this kit fits. None of the gaskets are for a 660 Rhino. They may be correct for the Grizzly or whatever else uses a 660 variant. The alternator housing, clutch housing, shifter gear cover gaskets are not even close. The cylinder to case 'thin steel' gasket is different also. On the side opposite of the timing chain is a small hole between head bolt holes. This kits gasket has a 'U' shaped cut-out instead of the 'hole'. Didn't even compare the head gasket as I had to order a different correct top-end kit. I didn't use any of the O-rings or valve seals since this "gasket kit" is not for the 660 Rhino so hopefully I can verify what it's actually for and re-sell it. May also contact seller to see if I can return the Gasket kit for a partial refund. The crankshaft DID work...with a small problem. The alternator did go on with no issue BUT the centrifugal clutch WOULD NOT. After measuring, the shaft splines O.D. diameter, it was .0035" (3-1/2 thousanths) larger than the old crank's. The clutch is NOT a press fit to crank, its supposed to slide on. Fixed this by emery clothing the O.D. of splines, knocking òff the .0035". I think it was just small raised burrs from cutting the splines and were not "cleaned up" after machining. Once I knocked the burrs off, the clutch slid on just fine. The bearings, connecting rod and rest of crank appear to be correct. If I had known the gasket kit was NOT for a Rhino 660, I would have ordered just a crank (for less money) and a correct gasket kit separately. Gave it 4 stars for a good crank that needed a final cleaning-up on splines and a good looking gasket kit that just didn't fit what the discription said it did.
