Overall, happy with this ladder stabilizer. It falls short of ideal in several cases, but I’m still happy with the purchase vs not having it at all.The product does what it says - it has rubber feet which pad its contact with the wall and also provide some anti-slip.During assembly, I noticed how loose the fit of many of the components were - the metal bars sloppily fit into each other and the metal was so thin that tightening the screws to snug caused the metal to easily deform.Although not required by the kit, I wish the kit had better hardware like washers, locking nuts or similar. I’d much rather have washers preventing the nuts from chewing into the rubber feet and/or extra reassurances that a fastener is unlikely to come loose while in use or transporting. However, those “upgrades” are easy/cheap to find at the local hardware store - but it would be nice if they were included in the box.Although the product does have a lot of wobble in the arms when not under load, it does feel very sturdy when in use. I had no concerns about climbing 20+ feet up a ladder while it was supported by one of the stabilizer feet resting on the 3” trim of one dormer and the other pad of the stabilizer resting on a 3” trim of a different dormer. This was stable enough that I was able to then reach through the product multiple times while doing work and carry items up and down the side of the ladder (outside its center of gravity), such as large hoses, tools, etc.It is worth noting that with the product installed on our extension ladder it is no longer possible to fully lower the fly section of the ladder. This results in the ladder being about 1-2 feet longer when stored with the stabilizer attached. It is also somewhat heavy, which matters when it’s at the end of a 15’ (before extending) ladder during setup or repositioning. This makes raising the ladder from the ground more challenging due to the extra weight on the far end of the ladder. This also shifts the weight balance more towards the house which makes extending the ladder fly section more challenging (due to fighting its tendency to want to fall forward). The center point balance when carrying the ladder is also shifted towards the top of the ladder and in the direction of the stabilizer legs. Many of those factors are simply a side effect of any ladder stabilizer of this style, but the unit’s weight vs stability and lack of easy removal for storage is also an influencing factor.Overall, not a bad product, but the thin metal, minimal hardware and it’s weight influenced my rating of this product.

Years sliding on the side of the house and on the gutter… why didn’t I get this earlier! Worked like a champ and no sliding to clean the gutters. Thank you!

The product arrived on time . I was disappointed that no instructions came with it but there was a video that was on the site but wasn’t very good. If you are mechanical you will figure it out . The price was exorbitant considering what you get. I think all of these are worth about half the price. I am an old guy and need to go on my roof often for leaves etc. so I am happy to have this it is safer. I looked at all of the options and this one was the best for me. I don’t need wheels and I like the one piece construction I think is stronger. No more damage to the roof edge and allot more stability.

I returned because of the weight of it especially on a two story ladder it's top heavy. Also I have fiberglass ladders so maybe this would be different w/aluminum.
