i ordered this as it is supposed to go with the 36 inch ellie bo crate I purchased at the same time. I get my 9 week puppy in two days so thought I would put it up ready for him with divider so I can move it when he grows. when I finally managed to fit it to the crate (not easy to fit) it is apparent that it is far to small for the crate there is a gap at the bottom and a large gap at the top. Not happy with this and would never put a pup in it as personally think it would be a danger to him, getting stuck ,etc. Waste of money , have taken it out and now have a huge crate for my small pup to come home to … wish I had read the reviews before I purchased it

Non ho acquistato il prodotto per il suo utolizzo nativo, ma solo per il prezzo conveniente per dei lavori di riciclo creativo. Il prodotto però è di ottima fattura e molto resistente

I have a 36" crate (not by Ellie-Bo) and the divider fits it well. The aim was to divide the crate whilst the pup is young, to give an appropriate sized sleeping area. It is not heavy and seems robust . The fixing hooks were pliable to position. It solved the problem of buying more than one crate whilst the pup is growing. The slight down side is we can no longer use both crate doors and there is a gap at the bottom of the divider which could entrap an exploring pup. The latter was solved by fitting on top of a full size crate mattress (we chose one from the Ellie-Bo range) which ensured there was a tight fit. The quality of the Ellie-Bo range and the value for money was a factor in buying the crate cover too. Pleased with the purchase.

The product was irregularly made and because of the metal, not pliable enough to correct in order to install. The return to GB is quite expensive. So I will end up taking a “ hit” on this product. A lesson learned concerning items that cannot be shipped from within the US.

Crates for dogs are a great idea for many reasons that I won’t go in to here, but there is conflict in advice when it comes to getting the correct size for a puppy. The manufacturers generally recommend that you buy a crate big enough for your puppy when it’s a fully grown adult, but books and opinion on line say that it should only be big enough for your puppy to turn around in otherwise it can become anxious. To address this, some crates come with an optional divider, however Ellie-Bo crates don’t so you’d need to buy this separate item if you wish to reduce the size of your dog’s crate. As we were having some problems with our puppy’s toilet training while in the crate at night, we decided to try dividing the crate so naturally I chose the product designed for our crate, and this does indeed divide the crate, and you can alter the position to provide more or less room as you see fit. However, there are a few issues that others have raised. It is a fiddly swine to install. It’s not difficult, just fiddly. There are several hooks on either side and trying to get the panel into position without at least one of the hooks grabbing the wrong wire is challenging. Once in place, you’ll quickly notice the second issue. It doesn’t reach from bottom to top of the crate, and not by a long way. The idea, I’m guessing, is for you use a full-sized bed, which can be slid underneath the divider. Yes, in principle this works. But a bed is a soft thing that can be compressed and it is possible for a puppy to tunnel underneath the divider and get stuck on the other side, or worse still, wedged under the panel. And even if you were able to get it the bottom, you’d be left with a big gap at the top where the dog can try to squeeze through. It’s potentially dangerous to a dog so I really would suggest a rethink to the manufacturer. My final point is that it’s quite an expensive item for what it is, especially for something that other manufacturers included with crate. Sadly, it’s not up to Ellie-Bo’s usual standard, and as you can see from my other reviews, I’ve bought a lot of their stuff.
