This is not an expensive monitor stand. It was the least expensive I could find as I needed a replacement for an older monitor. The good: Clamp works fine. It hold my 24" monitor with 1.5" vertical clearance from base plate. The joints are stiff and the whole thing with the monitor feels sturdy. If I put the monitor as forward as possible it would probably be more prone to tip but I don't why anyone would do that. It came with extension pegs which I needed as the monitor's (asus) versa mount points are recessed and the clamp is slightly too large to fit. The bad: It needs the extension pegs. Why not just make the plate standard vesa size to fit the whole? The plastic plate cover the back doesn't want to stay on. Not a big deal for me at all but as far as I can tell it has no clips and no way to attach it to the metal VESA mount. Over all I am satisfied with this purchase. If you need something fancy, pay more. This is a basic monitor stand and works just fine.

I picked up a used ELO touch monitor that had a commercial pole mount. This desk stand was perfect because it has a heavy base that won't tip. Mount had correct holes and screws.
