Amazingly good book. I learned to play on this book and book 2 as a child and I have taught many students with these books as well. The progression through this book really makes sense and is effective. It never felt overly difficult as I went through the studies. I have seen MANY beginning books and I would still recommend this series.

This was the book I used as a child. I am now teaching two girls how to play (group lesson). I liked the book particularly because it seemed to have more duets than the more modern books used in the school system. It also contains many well known songs that kids always enjoy such as Christmas songs, patriotic songs, and songs like "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"

I invested a couple of hundred dollars on a flute, soi decided for another few bucks why not get this great book, so she can lean to play it. Great investment.
