30 year guitar player here, and Ive always been skeptical of buying any musical instrument online without getting hands on first. but, wanting to learn banjo, finding a left hand anything is near impossible, I took the risk and Im extremely impressed.the neck is near perfect, the fit and finish all around is spot on and rivals instruments 3 times the price. there are no rough edges, frets are smooth and it stays in tune great.I already had new , quality strings on hand and restrung and checked the neck before i even plucked a string so I cant say how the factory strings sound. As a "beginner" banjo player, Im confident this will last a long time. and it will make a great addition to my collection.

Being left-handed, finding any instrument specifically made for a left-hander was quite a challenge. This is a beautiful left-handed banjo. One aggravation regarding this purchase: the exact banjo made for a right-hander is around $60 cheaper. Doesn't make any sense. Also, the chord chart that was sent in the packaging was made for right-handers. Those of us who are left-handed have to live in this right-handed world, but we just have to work a little harder. I am, however, enjoying this sweet instrument. I'm taking lessons from a right-hander willing to work with me. Lots of fun and enjoyment. I recommend this banjo for any beginner. It's a beauty.

I have been a professional musician for over 30 years. Recently, I decided that I wanted to learn Banjo. I'm a big believer in starting with some old banger instrument and work your way forward. With this being the cheapest left-handed banjo on Amazon, I did just that. Left-handed banjos are hard to find and I'm always reluctant to purchase something I can't put my hands on first but I was pretty surprised. I know a lot of banjo players and have seen and heard Gibsons, Deerings, etc... For what it is, this banjo is terrific. It says in tune, the tone isn't too bad and with the optional bridge mute, my wife hasn't killed me yet.

This is just an out of the gate review. I'm a total beginner and I wouldn't know a great banjo from a bad one, to be honest. It looks great. My short time practicing, it seems to sound good once I got it tuned. I needed a left handed option at a decent price, so this fit the bill. I can't imagine it being a bad buy if you're just starting out like me. If need be, I'll update later once I have a clue what I'm doing, lol.

It is difficult to find left-handed instruments in general so when my husband said he wanted to play banjo, I wasn't sure where to find one we could afford. After reading the reviews on here (and not being sure if he would stick with it), I decided to purchase this one with the 2 year protection. He LOVES it. He has already made quite a bit of progress; he already plays guitar and says this banjo is very well-made. I would DEFINITELY recommend to anyone who can't afford a nicer one at the moment, or would just like to try out playing banjo. This was well-worth the money!!!

Having no previous experience with banjos, I really didnt know what to expect when purchasing this instrument, nor did I have existing criterion to compare. The instrument was packaged well and appears to be of good quality, It has a good tone and appears to be a great "beginning instrument" If you are a musician, whether beginning or accomplished, this is a great purchase for the money. it is a quality instrument for learning with a very economical price.
