This baren helped me get even the finest details of my design i am guessing due to its special cushioned bottom. It was also very comfortable to use.I wish they had an even larger size around 6 inches

Block printing Baren REVIEWI have tried a lot of barens sold on amazon and i have always felt that my wooden spoon did the job just as good or better. But this time i was amazed. I only ended up giving it a try because i was really impressed with their brayers. This baren actually works so much better than what i am used to and the quality is truly impressive. It is definitely worth the extra few bucks.

I bought this for my wife because she said she needed one for her art projects. I had no clue what a “baren” was—sounded like something you’d find in a medieval cookbook—but apparently, it’s a big deal in the printmaking world.It’s got three-layer tech, smooth-glide plastic film, and Nitex nylon… which all sound very impressive. I still don’t know exactly what it does, but I do know this: my wife lit up like a kid at Christmas when she used it. She said it presses evenly, feels great in her hand, and “makes everything come out so much better.”So yeah—I don’t understand it. But she does. And she’s happy. And when she’s happy, I’m winning.Five stars. No idea what I bought, but it bought me peace, praise, and possibly pie.

Have been buying these for my workshops. Strong, sturdy, soft foam and effective. It does not scratch or damage the paper no matter how hard it is rubbed or pressed. it is a lot more affordable as well. Highly recommend it for the printers who need something way better than spoons and hard barens but can't afford to buy an expensive printing press.
