Small Size Dice Box Molds for Resin x 1

The mold isn’t bad. But I’m leaving the sameish review that I left on the LET’S RESIN dice mold set. If you want this just as a mold and you have a smaller set of dice. Perfect. This will work for you. However, if you bought the LET’S RESIN dice mold, those dice won’t fit. (The rough looking blue dice in the picture are the ones from the mold. The purple are a set I also had not handmade.) I bought both of the molds with the idea of once I get good enough to sell the box with a set of dice, but you have to find smaller dice to work with it.I like the mold, but I feel like the same brands dice set should fit in it.

I am prefacing this review with the fact that, at the time I purchased this mold, the listing said it fit standard dice. I got this and the Let’s Resin standard dice mold (I made a review about this one, too) to make a set for a friend & was very disappointed. However, the folks at Let’s Resin were great when I contacted them & I was pleased with the resolution of my issues. The mold itself is decent. I’ve used it once & one thing I noticed is the finished box doesn’t stay together. Being new to resin making, I didn’t realize these boxes are usually held together with magnets. This mold doesn’t have a space integrated in the design for magnet placement during casting so I will be drilling and placing some myself. It also has some random notches that I’m not sure what the purpose is for them but they aren’t super noticeable so I left them for the time being. The mold itself is sturdy enough that I feel I’ll be able to get several castings if I am gentle enough when unmolding. Make sure to use the correct resin if you’re using glitters or trying a blooming effect. This mold is very shallow in areas so glitter will settle out quickly if using a product with longer set time. Again, I’m new to resin crafting so I was unaware of the differences & I used a slow setting deep pour product. All my glitter sank and my blooming attempt looks more blotchy than bloomy lol.

My grandchildren ages 15 to 36 play D&D together once a month, and I made them each a sword shaped dice holder. They loved them.

Great if you’re making swords. Instructions unclear on how to actually make the dice

So I sell DnD-related things in my shop and online. I've been selling a jar I make out of resin with a D20 on top a lot and decided to branch out with more holder types. This dagger one sells every time I put a new one out! The mold has held up for many creations so far without any tears or sticky spots. I have yet to use the mold release on it, but will start due to a totally different mold I used. This one here has been awesome and I will for sure get another so I can have two sets going at the same time.

This is great for the DnD player in your life, or for the guy who makes things for that DnD player. It uses quite a bit of resin, but isn't wasted, no large unnecessary areas. It holds a full set of dice, but the 8, and 10s require a bit of placement to fit properly. I have made 5 so far and the mold is holding up nicely to this point. Be aware, as with most resin molding, the edges do come out sharp and need some sanding down. Or if this is for the thief of the party, leave them sharp so he can backstab someone with it.

Nice little mold for making dice trays. I wish it had better indication as to which dice went in which slot but once you figure that out it's pretty neat. The mold is very bendy, make sure you do your best to level it as much as possible. All in all it turned out really well, and we enjoyed using it.

I'm honestly not sure that anything I have to say has to do with the mold, and not my own ability. My 1 complaint is that it has a few notches (I imagine it's to keep the two halves from sealing together when it's a finished project) and I keep collecting bubbles right by them. It's also a little too flimsy to fill and then move to my curing station, but filling it at my curing station is a simple fix for that. Overall, I am very happy with the precise lines and beautiful knife shape of this mold.
