Lezyne Slip Chuck

At first slipped off with any amount of pressure and seemed to be a total dud. Then noticed the o-ring it came with looked a little dry so put a drop of mineral oil on each end and voila, up to 110* PSI with no issues. *could probably go to more cause it was real stable.

It worked well for about 6 months and then it took a dump. For the past six months I've used this slip chuck once or twice a week to top off the tires on several bikes in our household. After about 6 months of use, it stopped working as it should. Now it sort of works, but not like it's supposed to work. I can't tell if something broke inside of the slip chuck, but it only allows air into the tire in very short bursts, and it feels like there's a ton of back pressure with each downward pump action (the pump handle wants to shoot straight up after pumping downward). Further, the tire pressure gauge does not register with this slip chuck any longer. I thought it may be the pump, but I switched out this Presta slip chuck with a Shrader adapter and pumped up some tires that use Shrader valves and the pump performed flawlessly.

I was disappointed by the quality of this chuck. Not only does it limit the functionality of the pump to solely presta valves, it feels rough in the hand. Threads on all parts of the chuck are sharp and the connection between the base that screws into the hose and the head has very few threads and is very light duty. If you plan to use this and another chuck to fill up different tyre types you’ll need to also figure out how to not lose this little thing

Der mir gelieferte Adapter passt nicht auf Schrader (Autoventil) - Pumpe. Der Durchmesser ist zu groß, dadurch leider völlig unbrauchbar und der Verkäufer möchte kein Retourenlabel zur Verfügung stellen.

I bought this so that I could air up my disc at the track without having to chase someone down and beg to use their pump. I spent a little extra on this thinking it would be better than the elbow that came with my pump (the elbow that came with the pump broke). It is better in the sense that it is more durable and screws on with replacement O rings. However I was expecting it to screw on to the valve like the basic pump itself. I was sad to learn that it doesn't, so you still need to hold it on.

My Lezyne Floor pump is wonderful. It came with the thread on chuck. The thread on chuck is great if you're inflating a tire from scratch but a pain in the butt if you just want to 'top off' a tire or if you have tubeless setup and rotating the threads could cause the valve stem to get weird and leak. I had to be extra careful giving air to my mtb tubeless bikes until I bought this. Now I can just pop it on and inflate. Also comes with extra o-rings.

Eines meiner Probleme mit dem von Werk aus mitgelieferten Endstück der Lezyne-Pumpe war, dass „Geschraube“ vor dem Aufpumpen der Reifen. Wollte ich meinen Reifen mit Sclaverand-/Französischem Ventil aufpumpen, musste ich bisher vor dem Kauf dieses Aufsatzes das Schlauchende erst aufwendig aufdrehen. Trotzdem schloss es manchmal nicht richtig dicht oder – noch schlimmer – beim Abdrehen schraubte ich gleich das gesamte Ventil mit ab und der Reifen verlor komplett alle Luft. Das geschah vor allem dann regelmäßig, wenn ich es gerade eilig hatte. Das nervte gewaltig und brachte mich fast dazu, die gesamte Pumpe abzuschaffen. Und das wäre schade gewesen, den mit der Pumpleistung sowie der Druckanzeige und der Optik war ich durchaus sehr zufrieden – und bin es noch.Schließlich machte ich mich auf die Suche nach einem passenden Pumpenaufsatz/Schnelladapter. Wenn es diesen für andere Standpumpen gibt, dann doch sicher auch für diese dachte ich mir. Und tatsächlich wurde ich schnell bei Amazon fündig. Ich bin begeistert. Denn seitdem ich diesen Adapter an meiner Lezyne-Standpumpe habe, funktioniert alles tadellos, ohne Ärger …Dieses Adapterstück wird einfach auf das Ventil gesteckt. Das im Loch befindliche Dichtungsgummi hält den Aufsatz auch unter großem Druck verlässlich auf dem Ventil (Voraussetzung: richtig bis zum Anschlag aufdrücken). Bisher ist der Dichtungsring nach fast einem Jahr noch wie am ersten Tag. Für den Fall der Fälle sind dem Produkt jedoch noch weitere 6 robuste Ringe beigelegt. Ich nehme an, dass dieses gute Stück also möglicherweise mich – zumindest aber mein Fahrrad überdauern wird.Mehr gibt es zu diesem Adapter eigentlich nicht zu sagen, als dass es einfach genau das ist, was der Pumpe gefehlt hat. Ich würde der Firma Lezyne eigentlich dazu raten, dieses Adapterstück schon von Anfang an der Pumpe beizulegen, um den Kunden viel Ärger zu ersparen. Fast hätte ich nämlich die an sich sehr gute Pumpe abgeschafft, weil ich mit dem Endstück und meinem Sclaverandventil fast verzweifelt wäre. Mein Vorschlag also an die Firma (oder den Verkauf): Bitte verkauft doch die Pumpe mit dem Aufsatz. Sie darf dann gerne ein paar Euro teurer sein. Hauptsache man erspart den Kunden Ärger und präsentiert die gute Pumpe als perfektes Produkt für Fahrradliebhaber!Meine Zusammenfassung: Dieses Zusatzteil ist genau das, was ich gesucht habe. Die Lezyne-Pumpe wird dadurch auch hinsichtlich ihrer praktischen Handhabung richtig aufgewertet (und darauf kommt es bei einem Gebrauchsgegenstand doch letztlich an!). War sie zuvor vor allem in Sachen Stil einwandfrei und als Standpumpe vom Material her und mit der Druckanzeige an sich qualitativ gut, ist sie jetzt kinderleicht handhabbar. In Windeseile und ohne Komplikationen ist dieses Ventil auf den Schlauch aufgeschraubt. Noch schneller lässt sich ab dann ein Reifen mit Französischem Ventil nicht aufpumpen: einfach das Adapterteil aufstecken, aufpumpen, abnehmen, fertig. Da dieses Teil DIE Lösung für mein Aufpumpproblem ist und ich damit im Fahrradalltag super zurechtkomme, gebe ich nach einigen Monaten Erfahrung nun mit gutem Gefühl für dieses gut und günstige Produkt glatte fünf Sterne! PS Auch mit dem neuen aufgeschraubten Adapterteil lässt sich das Schlauchende an der Pumpe einhaken und hält damit so fest wie mit dem anfangs mitgelieferten Originalendstück.

If you have presta, this is handy. The plastic one that came with my $100 Lezyne floor pump exploded after a few months of pumping tires to 100 PSI. This one seems to be pretty tough.

Makes life a bit easier when you want a quick attachment, the angled head makes things much easier. Quality construction lots of spare "O" rings very well thought out.

This adapter is perfect for getting into wheels with its 90 degree angle. Simple design that comes with extra o-rings makes maintenance easy and quick.It is designed to work with Lezyne pump hoses it does not readily work without one. I was able to make an adapter out of a plastic pipe thread cap I drilled out. This fits in the end of my compressor air gun in place of the nozzle and works well for seating beads on my 29x2 tires in the shop.This product would be 5-star if there were more options to adapt it to other applications without buying the $$ hose from Lezyne or using a floor pump.
