I really like this this little pot to make small batches of candles. It's easy to use and simple to clean. The only reason for a 4/5 and not a 5/5 review is the knob has already come off.

This pot is very convenient. It is not heavy and has a longer cord. The outside is plastic, and it stayed cool when I used the unit. The bottom middle of the pot is hot to the touch when you are using it and shortly after you unplug it; but this is not an area you would touch anyway when using it. The inner sides don't get too hot, but the inside bottom does. This is how it melts things, from the bottom up, just like if you used a stove or double boiler. It has a small orange light that goes on when in use, see photo. It completely melted 1/2 cup of beeswax pellets in one minute and 45 seconds! see photos. If you wipe it right after use, it is easy to clean. I purposely left some wax in and let it cool, you'll have to really rub to get it out so do yourself a favor and wipe it clean after use! The little wooden spoon is nice to have if you need to stir ingredients. The pot is lightweight. It also has a slight steam-like smell when in use, but it was slight. This is something that would help you start a small candle or lip balm business like I am doing. It has two dials, level I for soy and level II for beeswax and harder substances. It is small, easy to use, and melts nicely. Do not leave it unattended, which is good advice for any heated appliance. Do not leave it on a table or where someone or a pet can knock it over or trip on the cord, and IT IS NOT A TOY so do not buy it for children! I would purchase again it is a nice product.

In my workspace, I have a big, dedicated melter for when I want to make a batch of candles. I also have processes in place for when I want to work on a big batch of soap or other things at scale. But when it came to all of my formulas that needed just a bit of shea butter here, a bit of emulsifying wax there, etc., I was stuck measuring out ingredients, heading to the kitchen on another floor to melt them, and then trying to make it back while things were still at the right temperature to finish the job. This little melter pot has changed that. It's the perfect size for working with small amounts of butters/waxes. It's also great for when I want to just test out a new scent or ingredient quickly without firing up the big wax melter. It heats up fast, and makes quick work of even harder ingredients like beeswax and cocoa butter while staying cool to the touch on the outside. The removable cord makes it easy to place the pot on a scale to measure your ingredients, and the pour spout and handle makes it more fit for purpose than the old slow cooker I had occasionally considered trying out for my smaller melting jobs.It cleans easily, as liquid contents can be poured/wiped out. For hardened ingredients, I fill the pot with water and heat it to melt any remainder, and the action of pouring out the hot water generally cleans any residue that might be left around the spout. Either way, a final wipe with rubbing alcohol and it looks as good as new. I do try to stick to using unscented ingredients in the pot and adding fragrance (and/or color) separately to minimize crossover.Overall, I'm very satisfied with this little melter pot and honestly pretty surprised by just how useful it's been. I could even see myself picking up another, especially if it had the option for more precise temperature settings. I also think it would be a great option for someone just getting started with candlemaking or similar crafts (as long as you invest in an accurate thermometer).

I decided to gift my friend this candle wax melter kit because she is very much into making her own candles and I thought since it came not only with a melter but so many accessories it would be great for her to have and use as well as being a practical gift it seemed very thorough in what it included and she would be able to appreciate the usefulness. The wax melter is a nice size and really gets the job done creating more candles in a single melting than others and all the small utensils it includes really helps to delicately handle the wax safely and professionally keeping everything neat and tidy! For someone thinking about this as a hobby or even a profession or side hustle this KIT is definitely the way to go because of all the accessories and essentials it includes to make wax from start to finish even having some soy wax in this kit to get going immediately and test your skillset and it truly allows someone to experience exactly what the process entails to make a small candle! For the price I think it hold tremendous value and would recommend for a novice or even a seasoned veteran as the melter is better than others I've seen with the larger capacity!

This wax heater has made my (candle-making) life so much easier! Most of the time my waxes melt on the lower setting, and quickly, too!The outside sides and bottom get slightly warm, but not hot, and the handle is cool to the touch always. The pour spout doesn't drip, and it's easy to get all the wax to pour out with very little residue left inside. The pot is light weight and easy to hold while you're pouring (not too heavy).I also appreciate that the cord is detachable from the pot but it stays plugged in until you want to unplug it. I have a little mini iron with a plug that constantly falls out in the middle of an ironing session leaving me with partially-heated patches or wrinkled fabric. This pot keeps its plug in very well. Most candle-making kits come with the standard little silver pot to heat in a pot or double-boiler, and I've tried the same with the tiny hot plates, too and this is the best of those options by miles. The others have their place, but this makes it all so super easy.
