I'm a brand new sewing machine user so I'm really not the best judge of things that have to do with sewing but I'll try. I figured having a guide would be more helpful for me so my edges aren't so wonky. But to be honest I haven't really gotten to that point where I've made something that that I want to complete. This is a convenient thing to have right on the sewing machine I like that and I'm sure that in time it'll do exactly what it's supposed to. If I become better at sewing then I will update this review with the more experienced result but for now I'll give it a high score

This could be the best $8 spent getting a consistent quarter-inch (or whatever you need) seam. Great tool that attaches magnetically (and provides a stick-on metal plate, if you don't already have enough metal around the sewing foot), has a very nice spring loaded foot to further hold down material (you can raise and lower this as needed), and holds firm while you're sewing. It is easy to use and works very well. I can't speak for the metal plate, as I don't need it for this machine. But, the tool works quite well.

I have always had a little trouble keeping my seams as straight and tidy as I would like, so I thought this little apparatus would give me a hand.It is very well made and solid; the magnet is really strong and powerful; it is even a little difficult to unstick from the plate so it is sure not going to move at all while I am using it. It has a great degree of adjustability to handle fairly thick fabrics as well as the thinner ones. I also prefer my sewing accessories to be made of metal for maximum longevity and durability.I like that it comes with an adhesive metal plate to add to the sewing machine if you need it, but my machine already has a metal plate the device can attach to, so it is even easier to install. I just leave it in place on the machine since I am very likely to need it for any project I get up to.

This multi-use seam guide is quite the helper for those of us who can’t sew a straight line! The magnet is super strong and for machines made of plastic they have included an adhesive backed metal plate so you can still use the tool. For my machine, the body and needle plate are metal but my removable arm piece is plastic. I plan on installing the metal plate on the plastic extension so I can better utilize the part of the tool that assists in holding down the fabric. The hem arm is adjustable so you can guide varying thicknesses of hem materials through your machine. Very handy. I think this a great value purchase for an adjustable sewing tool to have in my arsenal.

I ordered this "Limsougle Magnetic Seam Guide for Sewing Machine, with Clip and Hem Guide, Universal Attachment and Perfect Accessory for Sewing Projects." thinking it would help keep a lightweight slippery satin like fabric stay in place so I could sew it faster. I found out that this magnetic seam guide is not helpful for this use. In fact, it is more of a burden than a benefit. The magnet does hold the guide in place, but the guide is better for holding straight pins as you pull them out of the fabric,if you put the guide on it's side away from the needle. I would not order this again.

This is a tool I should have had in my sewing arsenal years ago. I've had bias binding feet, but never a guide like this, I've always just marked my machine and took it slow, this is a game changer. The tool is fairly large in comparison to my machine, but it's better to have the larger surface area so that the garment or quilt doesn't inadvertently turn or curve aside the shim. The magnet on the bottom is pretty strong, which is great, and they even include a metal plate to stick to your machine if it is mostly plastic. The clip is not too strong, you don't want it clamping down, you want it to keep things in place and allow it to glide. There is an adjustable screw to also adjust how much height the clip has to avoid causing too much tension. This guide has multiple surfaces for different applications, so you can turn it to suit your needs, very multipurpose. Not a bad price either, considering most sewing tools are super inflated in costs.
