The most important thing to know here is that when closed (flap down), these envelopes measure 4.25 inches by 7.0 inches, not the 4x6 illustrated in the product description. They HOLD 4x6 photos but the envelopes are larger. This was important to me because I bought these archive envelopes to exactly match ones I'd purchased at the Container Store. They do indeed exactly match, down to the maker being listed as University Products Inc, they fit the Container Store photo archive boxes, and they perfectly continue my home photo archiving projects. Amazon, please fix the product description to show the envelopes' true size!

I had a hard time finding archival paper photo envelopes; everyone sells plastic sleeves now. So glad I found these. I also bought larger sizes. Hope they are never discontinued.
