I got these in the purple color for my ten year old daughter. She loves the color and they seem to keep her hands warm and dry. We live in MN and my kids spend hours outside in the ice and snow -- we will see how water resistant they are when Jan/Feb come around but I think they will do nicely.

Edit: The manufacturer sent a new pair. They seem fine. I appreciate the prompt customer service in addressing a mediocre review. 5 stars. They seem to keep my kid's hands warm and dry, though after one (very short) season of use, the seams on the inside are coming apart. 3 stars.

These are very durable and warm inside I got a pair of ice caps or something that were a bit more expensive and the only difference between the two was the more expensive brand had less of a slick outer texture like vinyl and more of a leatherish feel compared to these but overall these are a great buy!

I love these. My kids love these. The sizing seems to be just right and they are super easy to slip on. My kids say they keep their fingers warm and it is usually in the teens when they play outside in the snow. However, I recommend putting them in the dryer immediately when they get wet, and after the outside is dry turn them inside out and put them back in the dryer. They will get pretty stinky if left to mildew. Best kid's gloves that I've found so far. I'm tempted to buy several pairs to last the rest of their childhood in case they stop making these!

Mittens are super! My daughter is delighted. We spent the whole day in the mountains, sledging, sculpting a snowman - our hands did not freeze, warm. Mittens are not soaked. I and my wife were very pleased. We can not worry that my daughter will not freeze her hands.

The gloves are cute, and warm... but not waterproof at all. Kiddo wore them for a 5 hour ski lesson and they were soaked through and her hands were frozen when I picked her up. Thought it was maybe a fluke and just because she was using them so long, so we dried them and tried again. The next day she made a snow angel and a couple snowballs (literally 2-3), and they were soaked again. So they’re probably fine as long as your kid isn’t planning on touching snow at all.
