The usage method like this, first adjust screw to get the clamping size ,then turn in the alignment screws after the tube is clamped,open the clamp when all tips of alignment screws touch the surface of the tube. Now move the clamp on two tubes which their diameter are the same and then clamp them. The weld seam to be welded should be between two jaws of the clamp. It’s easy. The clamp has two functions and unique design. For gripping stable, this clamp has four pads.

This was an expensive piece of junk. By the time I finally found a scenario to use this thing, it would not hold up what so ever. The clamp just slips right off the pipe when you put any weight on it.

Well made, durable clamp. It works well for the stated purpose. It also serves well for a variety of other uses. Hefty well made clamp. Old saying - how many clamps does a woodworker need? .....one more than you have.

I want to start off by saying this clamp is solid. It is very hefty and seems to be made from quality materials. It works like any other vice grip you may own so there isn't anything to figure out or learn to start using this. Once you clamp it down on an object, it holds firmly in place without any slippage or loosening. It even has 4 pads to grip objects better than a traditional vice grip. One of the standout features of this clamp is its versatility. The adjustable jaw width allows me to tackle a wide range of materials and sizes, making it suitable for various applications. Highly recommend.

This review is for Locking C-Clamp Pipe and Tube Clamp with 4 Pads Vise Grip, from Xiao & Dao Pro, $35 on amazon.I have a pretty good collection of various size Vise grip style pliers but they are all either jaw style or of the two-pad design. I like that this heavy-duty pair of vise grip pliers has four pads. Works just like any other vise grip pliers where you adjust the screw at the end of the handle to get the amount of squeeze you desire.The four spring-loaded socket head screws are intended to push against a cylinder that is being gripped. Good concept but if I ever use that feature I will be sure to check that the surface of that cylinder can accept the pressing load from the four screws. For example (not that I would ever need to do this) I would never use that feature to grip a spray can as the screw force could puncture the thin can wall.

This is a very heavy duty vise grip type clamp that is well made and clamps well. Not sure it will be of much use for me in clamping pipe as it is limited to the pipe sizes it can be used on. However, it will be very useful for clamping together steel for welding or for use in gluing wood. This is a great clamp overall. I knocked off one star because it is an expensive clamp. If you don't need the robustness of this clamp you can purchase multiple clamps of the same size for the same cost. I would just consider this clamp if I needed to often clamp 2" to 3.5" pipe.
