This is only my 7th quilt and I have a lot to learn but this pattern is so gorgeous, I decided to jump in anyway. It is definitely not for a beginner but if you read the instruction page and become familiar with the different designs (flying geese, HST, etc. - and maybe do a practice piece out of scrap fabric), you will easily be able to follow the individual block pages step by step. I saw a review for this pattern that was highly critical of the “black and white sheets”. Not sure why that even matters - if you just look at the pattern examples (some are solid, some have flowers, etc.) you can easily assign your own fabric to whatever Fabric Number the pattern calls for. I was using a quarter inch seam and couldn’t come near getting my seams to match but when I switched to a scant quarter inch seam, they fit beautifully (thank you YouTube). These instructions - after I took the time to understand them gets an A+ from me. Also, I should mention the dimensions on this Amazon offer state the sizes are 90x90 square for a Queen or 62x62 for a throw. My pattern (which is identical to the Amazon picture) is one size only - 104” square. If I live long enough to finish it (yes, it is very time consuming) I will come back to add a photo. Meanwhile, it is my absolute favorite quilt pattern and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I am.
