Product Description

LRNV9547-4I is a PCI Express x16 Gen3 PCIe switch Card provides dedicated PCIe 3.0 x4 (32Gb/s) bus bandwidth for each M.2 SSD, and unlocks the true performance potential of NVMe based storage configurations. Ideal for servers & high-end desktop/workstation platforms,The all-aluminum casing naturally dissipates waste heat away from the SSD modules, and features an integrated fan and heat sink that work in conjunction to eject excess heat away from vital components and keep ambient temperatures manageable and cool.

FunctionalCharacteristics

PLX PEX8747 Switch Controller has a PCIe 3.0 x16 upstream port as well as four PCIe 3.0 x4 downstream ports.

Dedicated PCIe 3.0 x16 bus bandwidth fully maximizes NVMe SSDs performance, And dedicated PCIe 3.0 x4 bandwidth for each NVMe M.2 SSD

This card does not rely on PCIe bifurcation supported by CPU or PCH

Independent, Stand Alone NVMe SSD Solution

Supports Windows 10 & Later, Windows 2016 Server, & Linux Kernel 3.3 & later

Applications

Why does this not include the necessary screws and nuts to mount the drives? The screws for the heatsink are so short the board bends in half if there are any heatsinks or stickers on the nvme sticks. I don't understand how or why you wouldn't spent the 18 cents to include those items when you know that your customers are attempting to get a server up.If you are going to buy this unless your sticks are completely bare with just the chips showing get NVMe mounting posts and screws (they are different from every other screw on laptops, phones and ATX computer cases), thermal tape, and heatsinks for all 4 drives. It technically works, but if all drives aren't seated all the way the result is unusable.
