Great entry to mid-range RAID controller. Generates a lot of heat, so make sure your case has proper airflow. Easy to configure and was out of the box compatible with ESXi 6.5U1. Doesn’t come with a cable, so make sure you pick one up too. The CableMatters SAS to 4 x SATA is compatible, well made, and inexpensive.

You get exactly what you see in the picture. No cables, software. For SATA you need CBL-SFF8087OCF-06M.
