No need for foam or any other trick to keep things from getting messy, just a properly designed case. Stand offs are what they should be, no more no less, includes screws as necessary. That's really the best thing you can say for something like this, you really don't want innovation or anything, just materials that follow the standard and a case that's appropriate, which we have.
