Home plate seems to be holding up great, better than the wooden version of home plates.We used this plate for one of our little league baseball fields that has two games every night (3 hours of usage a day) and hasn't shown any signs of wear through one season. It also allows our drag to go over it without snagging the drag.We're in Michigan so we'll see how the plate handles over the winter months.

I know - how excited can you get over a home plate, most of which you are going to bury in the ground. Well, this thing is still pretty cool. It's all synthetic - not like the old ones that are wood covered in rubber or plastic. It's heavy and well molded, and the pattern seems sturdy underneath, so it won't rot away and produce a "soft" and dangerous dip like the wood ones do when they rot out. How long will it last? I don't know, but it's good now!

Heavy, thick and not going anywhere. I wish the black border was a little smaller or thinner but no big deal. Now we always have a home plate ready in the backyard.
