About this item

  • FENCE PRIVACY: Unlike fence tape, these slats are designed to easily slide vertically through your chain-link fence for optimal outdoor privacy. Determine the diamond size of your fence by measuring diagonally between the parallel wires, not corner to corner. Compatible with 3', 4', 5', 6', 7', and 8' height fences.
  • QUALITY DESIGN: Tube Slats are made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), color pigments, and ultraviolet (UV) inhibitors designed to lessen the harmful effects of the sun and extend product life. These slats are durable and resistant to severe weather conditions, sand, salt water, alcohol, most acids, alkaline, ammonia, petroleum distillates, and common environmental pollutants.
  • COVERAGE: Each slat measures 1.09" wide. Bottom-locking Tube Slats will provide approximately 75% blockage in chain link with a 2-inch diamond. Slats installed in chain-link mesh with a 2 1/4-inch diamond will achieve approximately 70% coverage. Slats used in economy chain-link fabric with a 2 3/8-inch diamond will produce about 65% privacy.
  • WITH YOUR ORDER: Each bag contains 82 slats and covers up to 10 linear ft. Included in each bag are 3 Viper Channel pieces that are 42" in length (allowing for 10' of coverage with 6" to spare). These double-wall, bottom-locking Tube Slats come in a variety of colors.
  • EASY TO INSTALL: The perfect privacy fencing solution, these slats are made to easily slide down vertically through the chain link and lock into the Viper Channel Locking System. These channels are attached together with an orange ribbon, which extends out the end of the bag for easy retrieval.

Matched my older tan slats well so I could add 3 feet of height to my eagle enclosures

Easy to install as long as fence is intact, just a pair of pliers to straighten bent links.

Well made but company difficult to return unopened pkgs. If bottom piece to hold slats in fence doesnt fit, will not secure slats for even line top and bottom. Would not recommend this company

This product works as advertised, but I deducted a star because it’s very cheap looking plastic and also one bundle barely covered 12 feet and I needed it to cover 15 feet. So now I either have to buy an entire bundle for $50+ or leave the 3 feet uncovered. To cover a larger fence this would easily cost $500+.

These slats were easy to install for us, even though the fence was old. The fence happened to be a 4 ft. 6 in. fence but we chose to use slats designed for a 4 ft. fence, and we strung the bottom piece through about 8 inches or so off the ground, so that the tops of the slats would line up very closely with the top of the fence. Before we purchased these slats, we had been warned that this type of product is sometimes difficult to install. I looked at product reviews from several websites, including two nationwide large home-improvement box stores in addition to Amazon. The over-all message that I got was that chain link fence slats may be either very difficult, or easy, to install. The difference is driven partly by how new/even the fence chain links are; but the biggest factor seems to be the EXACT measurements of both the chain link diamonds and the slats. (Small differences in dimensions can make a large difference in installation ease.) In our case, the width of the diamonds (distance between parallel sides) was 2.19 inches. As you will see from the product description, these slats are 1.094 inches wide, and are intended to fit chain link diamonds that are between 2 inches and 2.375 inches across. If you go to Slat Depot's website, you can find some additional details about their product, including a description of the trade-off between visual blocking, slat dimensions, and chain link diamond dimensions. In our case, we are getting about 65%-70% visual blocking. Had I chosen the 1.25-inch wide W-shaped slats from the same manufacturer, I might have had a higher percent visual blocking (80%), but slightly greater risk of installation difficulty on my older fence (though these might have worked fine). Or if I had chosen the Slat Depot Solitube slats, 1.437in. wide, promising 95% visual blocking for my size of fence -- but I strongly suspected that these might be hard to install on an older and possibly less even fence.

These slats are top of the line quality. Sell for twice the price as this sellers from Lowes and Home Depot. Easy to install. Slats snap right into bottom bracket with ease. I am a 90 lb, 5' tall woman and ordered 6' slats. No problem installing them by myself. With the quality of these, my fence is not going to end up like the ones I drive by on other peoples fences I've seen that the slats are broken, torn and missing after they've done work on installing them just to have them fall apart after a few seasons. These are of a quality that they will probably last me the rest of my life without having to replace any of the slats. Just with the 20' I have installed so far, 2 of my neighbors came over and asked me where I got them and now they want them for their fences also. It's amazing how they changed my gate and chain link fence to a class look from the piece of crap looking fence that it was, just with this first 20'. I will be ordering another 80' to complete my project.

As expected and fast shipping. My only complaint is that the slats are not consistent from bag to bag in length. Makes the fence look uneven.
