I have old lightweight Harper hand truck with nylon plastic frame, 10" pneumatic wheels, and short folded nose 7 x 15". I was looking for a platform extension and found not only a beautiful and lightweight nose, but I was also be able to attach it easily so that the original nose transformed to unfolded one and has now become the indispensable stopper and support for the folding extension.I also reinforced the frame with several rods, which eliminated the possibility of twisting the structure when transporting especially heavy loads like two or even three double cylinders for scuba diving (before this modification I could move one double set only).Magliner makes good quality products that transform moving anything much easier and safer and their 301026 30" Aluminum Folding Nose Extension is a perfect example!

I bought the Magliner aluminum hand truck to help move my home furnishings to a new home. The folding nose extension first came with some missing parts. Love that it supports items that are longer or wider or deeper...depending on what you're carrying. Need bungies to secure onto the hand truck. The reason I gave it a 4 star is because you can't use it with the nose plate that comes with the hand truck...it only works with the UA Nose Plate nose which costs more money. Otherwise Magliner makes good / quality products that make moving anything much easier and safer.

Well made and works well when you want it, but it doesn't really stow properly when you don't want it. Yes, it folds up easily, but it sticks out from the frame of hand truck. So anything you move doesn't sit flush against the main frame any more. You can remove the nose when you don't want it, but that requires tools and takes a bit of time. Really, the hand truck itself needs a different design so this nose can fold completely out of the way.
