This is not your Grandma's slow cooker. Wow...healthy cooking and multi-function with a cool looking wooden utensil included. I've never used a slow cooker, rice cooker or other function-specific cooking device. Someone gave me a Crockpot and I donated it to charity before ever using it. But this cooker has the right name because, as they say in French: c'est magnifique!I made my first slow cooker pot roast (see pic) and it came out beautifully. I seared it in the cooker then added the other ingredients which I simultaneously prepared in a separate pan to save time. While I set the unit on "Slow Cook Low" for 8 hours, my meal was cooked to perfection in 6.5 hours (2 lb. roast with many veggies and 2 cups of stock). While it does have a keep warm function, it wasn't needed. I kept everything in place with the power off and all was still warm when we all went for 2nds (some for 3rds!). Cleanup was a breeze: quick hand washing, nothing stuck to the pan.First of all, instructions and some recipes are included. As instructed in the manual, I washed everything by hand and set the unit to cook for 10 minutes to ensure that no residue was left behind from the manufacturing process. The instructions are easy to understand and pretty thorough. I'm excited to use this unit in future for pasta, Quinoa, braising, more stews, roasts and oven baking in the clay pot (safe to 500 degrees F). My only complaint is that the power cord is SO short. I realize this is likely for safety precautions but for someone like me who has limited counter space and it's not safe to use an extension cord for this appliance, it can be a challenge if you're slow cooking and need to use your counters during the process. I wanted to put it on the stove top and plug in to the outlets on either side but they're too far away so I worked it out by removing almost everything from the side table that has a slate top and it all worked out.This versatile, non-toxic cooking unit is worth rearranging some things to use it AND worth every penny.

A bit on the smaller side. Would like it better if offered in a 6 quart. Still off-gassing. Does not cook as well as my extra large ceramic Racheal Ray cooker. I like the look and the materials it is made of, but would not purchase again due to its lack of overall performance. Good for one person if not concerned with the smell. Packaging is excellent.

color is beautiful and cute. Size is on smaller side but exactly the same as mentioned. It is very convenient and functional as it can be used from the kitchen to the table. best thing is you can put it in the oven too. It looks beautiful in evey way of use.

Slow cooker with some additional features that allows you to do Dutch oven, braise, sear/saute and some rice and pastas. Inner pot boasts temps safe up to 500° in the oven, so you can go from oven to stove to slow cooker. Inner pot is also awesome for just grabbing and taking to potluck. It reatins the heat well and keeps the food very toasty. It can be heavy and hot and you need to prepare for that if your going to pack it around, and it doesn't come with any kind of accessories to help you do that besides a lid. The setting do help you select the right time and temperature. Comes with a small booklet with some recipes, fancy ones at that too. Most of the pieces are dishwasher safe and that definitely a plus at clean up time. It's a nice looking crock pot too, the olive color and the ceramic is different then the traditional metal you usually see.

It’s difficult to find a real slow cooker that isn’t made from aluminum. This one is made from clay. It’s lovely and works beautifully.As expected, I really didn’t expect the “sear” function to work as well as a skillet on the stove but it works fine. Keep the item in line in the center and they will get brown.

Too heavy to ship. I tried to determine the weight of this item before requesting it and got nowhere. When it was received by my transshipper, I was told it weighed 21 pounds. That brings it into a higher duty category and it would have cost me over $200 to ship. I rejected the item and left it with the shipper. That's what happens when manufacturers don't disclose the weight of their items. Anything shipped to Ecuador that weighs more than 8.8 pounds is very expensive to ship. The item isn't worth that much for me to ship.

The slow-cooker combines multiple cooking functions into one. I have eight preset modes, from regular slow cooking to sautéing, keep warm, brown and white rice mode, pasta cooking, oats, and braising. It has a 4-quart capacity. I can use the nonstick, oven-safe pot for both stovetop and oven. I like the ceramic-coated interior because it’s free from harmful chemicals like PFAS and lead. I hardly use the keep-warm function as the stoneware retains heat for a long time. I can wash the lid and removable crock in the dishwasher so I don’t have to wash by hand.

This is a really good crock pot and universal cooker. We have actually been using it quite a bit but we are also using it within the oven. Food cooks evenly and the pot itself heats up quickly. While it is a bit on the expensive side, I believe you get what you pay for and I believe it is with the price.The settings are a bit more complex than most crock pots but they are still easy enough to use and configure. If I had any complaint at all it would be that the capacity is a bit on the small side. It is still reasonable though and large enough for most family meals.
