great cable and is a lot cheaper than what I have found online. I have tested it on a mac and pc and works flawlessly. I did not use mares software. I went with "subsuface" an open source application.

Alles zusammen: Drak klappt, alles OK. Schnelle Liederung.

I agree that I think it's a bit overpriced, though it has come down in cost over the past few years. In regards to functionality, I installed the Dive Organizer first on a Win 10 64bit laptop using the web installer. No problems there. Then I just plugged in the adapter to my Puck, put it in PC mode, and connected it. There was no sound or recognition of the device over USB, but on opening the Dive Organizer it read my Puck and downloaded all my dives.I've used other dive organizers and I like the online ones best. Now I can import my data with this adapter. No longer do I have to keep the screen alive while I quickly write down the data. In addition, I can see my whole dive depth/temp profile, not just my max depth and temp. It's not a necessary accessory, but if you can afford it then I'd pick it up.

This is a waste of money, and a waste of time device unless you are somehow lucky enough to get it to actually connect.I am using the Mares Air. This device barely makes contact with the dive computer. You pretty much have to just hold it together (or velcro it like another person said) to get it stay connected. I'd be happy enough with that if it actually communicated with my dive computer. IT DOES NOT!There is currently no firmware available for the Air, which I couldn't get on the computer anyway as this software does not recognize that there IS a computer.I have installed the Dive Organizer software on two different computers running two different flavors of Windows with the same result. The software never sees a connected computer. If I decide to waste more time on this piece of junk by installing the software on additional computers I will update this review with that info. Right now, I'll just do my dives and keep my log book updated (which I do anyway) w/out wasting time on this crap solution.

It seems a bit pricey, but does a fantastic job, a perfect complement to the Puck dive computer.

I bought the Mares Puck diving computer when it was going out of the Market (been replaced by Mare Puck Pro) and bought this interface to download the dives data into my PC.It worked with Windows 8 without issues and now I can keep my diving information with safety at my computer. The Mares software is very easy to use and provides all information that you need to know when analyzing your dive.

This is a great piece of tech. With it you can easily keep track of your past dive profiles and this info is great to have in addition to the written dive log. I would highly recommend it.

Bought Drak USB interface to connect my Mares dive computer to my Macbook Air to download dive data.Pro: the interface worked as advertised. I was able to download dive data to my Macbook Air (using a third party software).Cons: The connection to my Mares dive computer was not as secure as I would like it to be. Comes loose easily. There was no reason it should be priced that high other than to gouge existing users of Mares dive computers.

I am somewhat new to diving so I thought this would be a great addition to my gear to be able to see my dive profile as it was. My wife and I both have the Mares Puck Wrist computer. The cable works as it should, downloading data to your PC. *** NOTE: This is NOT compatible with 64 bit systems! *** It's a good thing I had another PC in my house that is 32 bit, or this would have been returned immediately. From gathering information from other reviews, I downloaded the software from the Mares website to have the latest version. It appears to be a nice log book that can store a lot of information on the dive. There are some quirks about it in that some boxes are not greyed out, but you can not check them, while others are checked and greyed out that don't apply. Also, the drop down list of type of dive would be nice to have an 'add your own text' rather than having to choose the predetermined ones. When looking at the dive profile, there are a bunch of bar graphs that appear, but you have no idea what they're for. I believe this is for some sort of tissue loading, but it's pretty worhtless without telling you numbers. The user manual is pretty lacking. I guess once I dig into the program some more, I may teach myself some other finctions, if other finctions are in fact available... This is more a review of the software rather than the cable, but the two go hand in hand. Knowing what I know now, I think the price tag is a bit much. I wouldn't pay more than $25 for this, so unless you really, really, REALLY want to see your dive profile and if there's any yellow or red for rapid ascent, I wouldn't bother buying it, unless you get a great deal on price. I think the software could use some more development, and definitely 64 bit user friendly.
