The right tool for the job. It is easy to use, and the 4 added levels are helpful. The string and handle are plenty durable for the job.

The mason line on this spool is good. The spool itself is awkward to use, but somewhat better than a stick.The included line levels are worthless in my opinion. They are not exact and are not the same between each one. The string would have to be very taught to even use this method to level.For a short DIY project it would be just OK to use them.In my opinion, just buy a spool of string, it would be more cost effective.

I used this for landscaping purposes, and it worked exactly as I expected it to. Love that it comes with the little levels that attach to the string. Good price. Convenient, comfortable handle for unraveling.

I ordered this line in preparation for my next project that involves multiple elevations. As you can see from my photo, the levels are useless. Even on a flat surface, the levels do not measure the same results!I have had other string winders that were plastic so I didn’t have much confidence that this one would be any better. Sadly, I was correct to not expect much. The winding motion is awkward and not smooth. It works but I suspect that the resistance of the moving parts will quickly fail and leave you with spool of twine and no way to manage it.So, in conclusion, buy this product for the mason line string but don’t expect much else.

This kit of 540 FT Braided Construction Nylon Mason Line String with winding Handle and 5 attachable bubble levels is pretty much as described except their description states "5 Built-in Levels". They are obviously not "built in" but included. You'll have to get the string nice and tight for those attachable levels to work correctly, however they will work and the levels are of good size, not tiny. With 540 Ft you should be able to do a 125ft per side square and with levels on all four sides. I'll be using mine for a retaining wall and patio project.
