My father had me order this for his 1968 Z/28 Camaro. He had it restored a number of years ago and the business that handled it cut some corners. One corner that was cut was drivetrain alignment. The car's clutch wasn't set up well, and that caused the throw out bearing to constantly rub on the clutch plate. So when my father and I dropped the transmission recently to have the transmission repaired for other issues, my father decided to correct all the other issues he could.This throw out bearing is replacing the old one, which is of course completely shot. My father and I replaced a few other components to get the connections between engine, clutch, and transmission straightened out, and it has paid off. I haven't driven the car myself, but my father says the clutch feels much better and no longer makes odd noises. With the misalignment issues gone, my father and I expect this throw out bearing to last a very long time, and while there are cheaper bearings out there, my father feels paying for this McLeod bearing was worth it.
