This stove is great for backpacking or "carrying in" camping trips for one person. I heated up about 5 "pots" of water for coffee/tea and had enough for soup before getting low on the small fuel canisters it uses (see photo). The feet at the bottom are great to stabilize it. I used it on rocks (see photo) and sand. It is light enough that once the water starts boiling, it will shake, so not one to walk away from! The stove packs away with one small fuel canister as well (had to buy separately). The only complaint here is that the cutlery that it comes with doesn't work well. The fork bends at the joint when you put pressure on it. So if you're getting this for the silverware, just know it's not the most ergonomic!

This product is absolutely perfect for my needs! It's lightweight and compact, making it ideal for hiking trips or camping. Right after receiving it, I grabbed a small fuel canister and cooked noodles on my porch—it worked like a charm! The best part? The fuel canister neatly fits inside the stove itself, creating a seamless all-in-one design that's incredibly convenient to carry around.

Backpacking for the first time can be a daunting endeavor. To make that first trip successful and enjoyable you really need to get into some specialized gear. Its not like camping where you can make do with whatever you have already and just load up the car. You need to carry everything you will need with you for the duration of your trip. Starting can be expensive especially if you go into the local REI and look at the backpacking aisle with all the latest and greatest equipment available. While some things are hard to get around spending some serious money for, this little cookset is good enough to get you started.Everything in this set is very usable and for less than $25 you get everything you need to cook, eat, and drink with. Literally add some freeze dried food, a fuel canister, and some water and you set to eat and drink. The pots work fine and most importantly don't leak at the rivets even at a boil. In my initial test of this, I let the latex coated handles get too close to the flame and they did start to melt. I'm not surprised as this has happened to many other sets I have owned. I'm not a fan of these types of latex coated handles but I guess they are a necessary evil. Size wise, they are fine for one, adequate for 2 (you will need more utensils though). The insulated cup is a nice luxury item to have even though it adds weight to the set. After a cold night, you can't imagine how good it feels to hold onto and drink something warm. The outside of the tumbler got warm when boiling water was poured into it but even after a few minutes, the cup was never too hot to hold. The utensils all work, not great but they are there and work. The stove itself is built pretty well, if you don't count the canister holder. The material they chose feels kinda flimsy and not durable enough to hold up. The stove threads onto a fuel canister nicely and no leaks detected. the valve operates smoothly and allows good control of the fuel delivery. The igniter works well but the materials there also seem a little cheap, don't know how durable that switch will be after repeated use.As I said, this probably isn't going to be your lifelong backpacking mess kit, but it is very nice for less than $25. I wouldn't dive in an rely on this for a week long backpacking trip with this as the sole method of heating and cooking but for a day or two trip to dip you toes into the world of backpacking, this should work nicely.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------This is also perfect for your disaster emergency kit where everything is freeze dried and lives in a 5 gallon bucket. This can easily sit inside with the food and this is where this will live for me.

I love these mess kits. Perfect for assembling emergency go-bags! Quick-boil burner even includes a piezo igniter! Pro-tip: your local hardware store probably stocks the fuel tanks for a fraction of the "camping store" prices. Convenient non-stick coating ensures that cleanup is a cinch. Included folding utensils are a big bonus and the double wall cup works quite well to protect your hands from your all-important, morning cup-of-joe! Included mesh sack isn't quite large enough to include the fuel tank, but that's not a huge deal breaker. Amazing price point for a single person, hiking kitchen kit.

I’m taking a 6 week road trip out west and since I’ll be camping out in somewhat remote areas for much of the trip, I wanted a back-up stove in the event I had trouble with my butane stove. I chose this Meetsun Camping Cookware Mess Kit because it not only comes with a mini stove, but also smaller cookware to fit on the mini camping stove. It’s a nice little kit for the price. It has two pots, a mini stove, folding fork, spoon & knife, a fuel can stabilizer, and a mesh bag to store it. I tested it by boiling water. I also tried the folding fork, spoon and knife with my dinner. They aren’t heavy duty, but I found they worked well, and I like how compact they are.I gave this kit 4 stars for the following reasons:- There are no directions (I’ve never used a mini camp stove before), which means there is no mention ofwhat type of fuel cannisters can be used with the mini stove. Prior to ordering this mess kit I looked atthe pictures in the advertisement and while it mostly shows the small isobutane cannisters, there is apicture that shows a 16 oz butane cannister. One of the reasons I ordered this is because I already havebutane cannisters and I didn’t want to carry multiple types of fuel on my trip. So, I purchased a butaneadapter and was happy that it fit perfectly onto the stove. There is no leakage.
