Well, with a price like this, you can't exactly expect the quality to be gobsmackingly amazing. The quality is definitely better than that of its competitors, but this is exactly what you would expect of an entry level macro kit, it's inexpensive and gets the job done. I purchased it because I wanted to try macrophotography before spending any real money purchasing all of the specialized gear for it, and that was certainly a wise decision. I'm happy that I didn't immediately jump at macron gear; but even so, the quality of these extension tubes is very good. As previously mentioned by others, the fit can be a bit tight, but I found that loosened up a bit. It does indeed work with medium telephotos (autofocus), but I actually found with my prime lens, the focusing speed difference was definitely noticeable. But it did not appear to degrade the image quality hardly at all, And for those of you trying your hands out at macro photography, yes, I definitely believe this product is worth the price and a very good product to spend your money for. It gets the job done and in the end, that's all it needs to do, I would suggest; however, that you really practice with them to get used to how they operate. I will say trying to determine where the new focal points were with each extension was a bit of a pain, but then, so is everything else....Buy this.. the price really is attractive and most importantly you get two. But sorry, still can't give it better than four starts.

I bought this so I could get smaller details with my 35-85mm macro lens, but the auto focus when having all three extension makes it impossible to take a picture on this. I have tried putting my lens on manual mode and still no luck. It only works with the smallest extension. I had to switch to my 50mm prime lens for it finally work with all three extension. I will have to say this could work just with the right lens

I got this and put it on an older camera first to be sure it would not get stuck on my production cameras. It did. Tight on my newer cameras. D7100 Nikon. Auto focus is a NO GO on some lens, but you have to realize your focus area is now fractions of an inch. Questionable use of auto anything. If I was not at a professional level and understand my cameras in manual mode I would return. Pretty awesome actually in the studio setting.First photo is 50 mm, second is the snap in the first image............ Third is a pocket watch, Forth is the winding mech........... Nikond d7100 sb600 flash units x 2, manual exposure.

These extension tubes did not work on either my D5500 or D7500. I tried each tube individually and in combinations on both camera bodies with the 50mm Prime and the 18-55mm Kit lenses. I did not bother to test with the 35mm Prime. The tubes were hard to mount and dismount on both cameras because the fit is far too tight. I first mounted the tube(s) to the camera bodies before then attaching a lens as per the instruction sheet provided with the set. This instruction was noted as being specifically for Nikon. Neither camera was able to auto focus. I could hear the motors trying to work but the view remained completely blurred. I then switched to manual focus. I could not focus the lenses manually either. The focus would not even change as I rotated the focus ring. I do not know if the set I got was defective when packaged or whether it was damaged as a result of being shipped loosely in a bubble envelope that was pretty beat up when the package was delivered.

I like the kit and I have been able to get nice and close to my subjects. The picture provided is taken on a Nikon D3200 with the Nikon 18-55mm kit lens mounted on these tubes. One gripe is that I don't like the fact dust can more easily get into your camera and lens with these on, since all they are are tubes--theres no filter in them. You can literally stick your finger through the hole in the center. However, that is probably how all these macro lenses work, so I'm not gonna hate on it too much. My only other gripe is that they are too long with my current lens and it obscures the flash, so in order to use this properly you will most-likely need to get a ring flash, or you can get away with some lamps if you are shooting indoors.Overall they have been an integral purchase into my delving into budget macro photography and I foresee getting much use out of these tubes.

This product worked perfect. It allowed me to move in very close on items to photography. I was able to even use a 200mm lens and pull focus just inches away. You can stack all three together or one or two with any combination or order of tubes. You will most likely have to use manual focus but for me, I use a 4k monitor to see so I didn't spend much time with that to know for sure other than my daughter mentioned having an intermittent problem with that especially with two or more tubes together at once. They tubes attached easily to camera and each other.

Like everyone else who purchased the Meike tube set, I have to agree that they work flawlessly, the quality is excellent and the resulting photos I've taken speak for themselves. The shot I attached/posted with my review was taken with a Nikon D810, the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens and all three of the Meike tubes attached. The shot is of a tiny section of a Nikon 24-120mm lens barrel, which if you have one, you should know how small those letters are.I'm very pleased with the results produces by the Meike tube set, and I can HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who needs or want to get top-notch macro photography at THE lowest price you could ever hope for. A TRUE bargain!
