I'm one of those people who's waistline changes a lot based on the season. I get skinny in the summer and gain weight over the winter. So when summer starts I'm larger than I am by the end of summer. The stretchy waistband in these shorts is nice to have since it can accommodate a dynamic midsection. I like the length and style, they're nice enough to wear out but aren't overly dressy (the black ones are anyway)

These cotton shorts are comfortable. The label says 97% cotton/3% spandex. Note this is different from the advertised 76% Polyester, 23% Rayon, 1% Spandex in the item description. But I am glad they are cotton. Very very comfortable. The legs come down to just above my knees. The flaps on the cargo pockets are free hanging - no velcro or buttons to keep them 'closed', and this is a good thing for me because nothing can fall out because the flaps stay down and I don't have to struggle with annoying velcro to open a cargo flap. The back pockets remain 'open' without flap/button/velcro. Very nice. The front pockets are medium deep, but not too deep. Easy-to-get-to pockets and cotton comfort are huge pluses for these shorts. These will get a lot of use on the golf course and for casual occasions. I think these shorts run big and I took in the waist 2 inches to go from a 34 to a 32 waist. They fit well after taking in the waist the 2 inches. I would order a smaller size by 2 inches if I had to do it over, and that is my recommendation for potential buyers.

I know—buying clothes online can be a crap shoot, especially when it comes to the fit. These shorts fit me very well. There's even a little stretch band action if you need it. They're very thin (as in cool) and drape nicely to the top of my knee. The black pair I opted for doesn't include the extra cargo pockets in front. I'm fine with that. The pockets are deep and wide inside, though—front and back. In fact, they're so wide, my phone tends to turn sideways in the side pocket. On the outside, you just see common slits like regular pockets. The shorts are uber-comfortable, so I plan to buy another pair of the same color.

These Men's Classic Cargo Stretch Shorts in black and white plaid are a solid choice if you're looking for attractive shorts with the added utility of extra pockets. They definitely have a nice look to them, and the plaid pattern is eye-catching without being too loud. I appreciate that they hit just below the knee – a good, classic length.The description mentions "stretch," and while you can certainly move freely in these, I'd categorize the stretch level as quite low. It's there, but it's not the kind of give you might expect from something marketed as "stretchy." This isn't necessarily a bad thing, as they still feel comfortable for everyday wear, but it's something to be aware of if you're expecting a lot of flexibility.Overall, if you prioritize style and functionality (those extra pockets are handy!), and you're okay with a minimal amount of stretch, these shorts are a good buy. Just manage your expectations on the "stretch" factor.

I will be wearing cargo shorts and pants as long as I live. I do not care that they are out of fashion, as I need the extra pocketses to carry around all my EDC crap. These are very nice cargo shorts. I like them so much that I will be ordering at least another 2 pairs. The fit is just right, so order your usual size. The material feels tough but the shorts aren't bulky and are very comfy.

These are very comfortable shorts that fit well. But I don't think the listing properly depicts the way they look when you get them. They look like they taper at the knees in the listing photos, but they do not. I do like the fabric, so if you're looking for a comfortable pair of cargo shorts, I can recommend these. If you're looking for a more trendy pair of shorts that taper and fit more like capris, this is not it.

I recently ordered the black cargo shorts in size 38 for my husband. He typically wears a 38 although he's more like a 37. We received a size 36 and not a 38. These fit but a little snugly in the waist. The rest of the shorts were loose, which is what he wanted. He's 5ft7in and these hit at the bottom of his knees. For what he does, this is no big deal. He likes the large pockets so he can put tools and such in them. I would have given more stars if the right size had been received.
