The shorts arrived on time and are comfortable. They seem longer than a 7” seam should be. Also, though the draw string is featured in one of the tiny thumbnails, it isn’t shown on the main photo and I wouldn’t have bought them if I realized there was a string. I understand you can hide it but your still constantly dealing with the strings. Glad they didn’t cost much.

My shorts wardrobe is such that if you went back 10 years and looked at some snapshots of me, you would recognize some of the survivors, albeit, a newer version. Time for a new pair. I saw these and they looked to be made from a similar material to a pair of cottony casual long pants that I wear when I am in my lounge lizard mode. Thought I would give them a try.After I got these, I immediately tried them on. The fit was good. I hedged a bit on the waist size when I ordered these, thinking I am thinner than I really am. No problem. The elastic of the waste band is very accommodating. The item is cool and comfy. It can easily become beach bummy with your favorite tee or muscle shirt and classy enough if you dress them up with a nice collared Polo or Izod. I may even try these on the golf course as things heat up this summer. I think they would look pretty good paired with those ridiculously expensive golf shirts. They will definitely make the scene at the beach, though I sure won't look like the guy posted here who is modeling them.As for the 'four' rating. I am a bit puzzled as to why the shorts come with belt loops and a string waist tie string. I think one or the other would do well. No need for both. If I had to choose, I would lose the waist string. Kind of redundant if you ask me. I also wonder how the nylon zipper will hold up. Those things are notorious for jumping the track after a few years.So give them a try. I have been happy with them. My wife says they look good on me. Gotta be happy with that. So I am looking forward to see how well they wear. Ten years? They might be around, seeing how nice the construction seems to be and how much of a cheapskate I am. Not so sure I am going to make it that far but if I do, I hope to still be modeling them.
