After using for a few months this has become a regular part of my espresso routine!I like how levels out the grounds and makes the puck very smooth. Yes, I still tamp afterwards - I feel like this is great for really making sure distribution is even before tamping.It is well made and sounds smoothly - as one reviewer mention, a bit of art…Is it necessary? No, but if you’re looking at add even more to the OCD espresso routine, this is a one that certainly contributes some pizzaz to the process :)

Work well to even distribute the coffee grounds. It does not require to be setup. Work great right out of the box.

Most gravity distributors have a slow descent and look smooth in operation, this is the exact opposite. The levelling ring is loose and has way more movement than I like. Other than the weight this product in my opinion is horrible. Regret buying this 100%However. They promptly reached out to me to rectify the issue, I have to say- their customer service is unmatched.

As you can see in the pic, everytime I try to distrubute this is what happens. Coffee is never level in the basket and coffee sticks to the bottom of the tool. This is using the double basket that comes with the go. In fact I tried a different basket and the same thing happened. I had to try 3 times slowly spining the tool to get the coffee to be somewhat level. Didn't work for me. Customer Support got in touch and they were really helpful and tried to solve the problem and they also recommend a different distributor for my setup. Very helpful.

I know this type of distribution tool can be controversial, with many people preferring using a WDT or shaker cup, but I really like these. I am not using this for the purpose of tamping but instead to level out my bed. This example from MHW-3BOMBER fits 58mm portafilters. It is jet black with only the logo text etched in white. It's adjustable for different heights (I found this part the most cumbersome and finicky). And it sports a feature I have never seen in a tool like this - it has a hollow design for weight savings. It claims to have a high-speed rotation factor, and I couldn't figure out what this meant until I realized it uses bearings (like a wheel) for quicker spending. It has what's called a hurricane base, which just describes how the "fins" are cut. Unique among the tools I've used.

This device arrived quickly, was well packaged and undamaged.The MHW-3BOMBER is a well constructed smoothly operating, solid piece of decorative equipment. I’m a seasoned barista who appreciates the artistry of good equipment. This piece is art and it is priced as art. Regrettably it is of little functional use. Are you a barista who cannot roll your tamper to level the dose? If so, then perhaps you might find this useful. Me, no.Would I buy this again, no.I use Amazon reviews every time when considering a product purchase.
