I used to have these with plastic knobs that always cracked or broke under stress. This is a nice sturdy build quality, that doesn't have plastic parts to break off when torqueing it down.

Basic ball head that works well for smaller cameras or accessories. Construction seems to be all metal, which makes this feel solid and reliable. I've used cheap ball heads with a plastic ball only to find that they loosen over time. The ball on this one seems to be metal, which gives me greater confidence that it will hold up over time. There is a single thumb-screw for loosening and tightening the head. Basic, but it works for what it is. There body is made of multiple pieces (notice the alternating black & silver). These are not machined quite as well as they could be, so you'll notice some slightly rough edges running your fingers over the body - not enough that it is an issue. I knocked a star off for this reason and because there are other similar ball heads for a little cheaper (not much savings $$ wise, but percentage wise). I plan on using this on either a hiking stick that doubles as a monopod and/or with a super clamp in my home office for holding a small mirrorless camera, phone, a mic, or a light. This little head will work perfectly for these things. Given its size, I would not recommend this for DSLRs or larger mirrorless cameras or anything that was a heavy/large lens.

I should’ve ordered two of these. Actually, because I don’t read instructions, I thought I did, but that’s a story for another day.I got this mini ball head to fix a very “me” problem: I’ve got a phone mount on my desk, and switching it from desk view to face view meant unscrewing and reattaching the whole holder. Not hard—but annoying enough that I avoided filming.This little guy solved it instantly. It’s heavy for the size (in a good way), the knob tightens strong, and now I can go from overhead demo to full-on Zoom call mode in about 10 seconds. Total game-changer for my setup.No slipping, no drama. I’m not a YouTuber with a million subs, but I use my gear daily—and this thing feels like it’ll hold up for years.If you do any kind of filming, desk setup tweaks, or just want your gear to move without cursing under your breath, grab one. Actually, grab two. You’ll find a use.

This little ball head is great. It is much easier to hold since it has a square shape with angled corners. It fits nice on my small desk tripod. The matte black combined with the shiny silver/aluminum color bands and knob make it look fancy. It feels like a solid ball mount. It will make a great addition to any camera kit.

The ball movement and adding drag or locking is very predictable and welcomed. I have no doubt this can hold 10 pounds... it's that good! The price can't be beat!

I needed a ball joint for my camera tripod (which didn't have a ball joint). This product had the right screw size and had the right rubber(?) coating so that it wouldn't scratch the underside of my camera when attached. The screw was tight enough and held my somewhat heavy mirrorless camera although I would still be careful since it's only held by one screw. It delivered what it promised so I'm good with this.

This is a great little ball head. The black and chrome make this look premium and it's all metal construction gives you confidence it will last.My favorite feature is the flat and angled sides. I have many of the normal round style of these and this is so much easier to hold and tighten. Why hadn't others done this until now?
