This hand held 4in1 Optical/Copper tester is just OK. While it does preform the functions advertised, I was surprised that in this model the RJ45 copper test is very limited in its scope. While it does give you a visual indication if the cable passes or fails, this mode does not tell you what has failed. According to the instruction booklet, the "S" model will give you indications of cross wiring or miswiring.Most entry level testers preform that basic function, unfortunately there is nothing in the description to let you know about this.The unit itself is small and compact. The LCD display is fine for indoors work but suffers terribly in sunlight. There in no ability to adjust the brightness.The instruction booklet, such as it is, has enough information to allow you to understand the basic functions of the tester.The VFD and the light meter functions work as they should, but the operation of the various functions is a bit clunky.For the price, there are better options out there.Here is how I rate items:5 Stars = Exceeds all expectations, A definite buy! (Very Rare)4 Stars = Excellent find, you should definitely give it a shot.3 Stars = It works and functions as advertised.2 Stars = A little scary, possibly OK, it may work out.1 Stars = Avoid this product, not worth the effort.

This RAINLEOTI OTDR is a lifesaver for my job troubleshooting fiber lines around the city. It's got all the functions I need in a compact package, and the range is perfect for most of my jobs. It's a little pricey, but worth it for the reliability. I use it almost daily for testing and maintenance in different locations.
