I've ordered 4 or 5 bulb's in the past and they all lasted 5 or 6 months plus, and that is heavy use. for some reason this bulb lasted 3 weeks to the day. you get what you pay for i guess. thats what i get for trying to buy the one thats 10$ cheaper than all the others.

Install was easy. Just unscrewed the lamp access panel (one screw), unscrew the old lamp housing (2 screws) and pull it out. Do the procedure in reverse for the install. The whole process took less then 10 minutes. After the install, the TV took about a minute or so to warm up from a cold boot. I replaced it because when I turned on the TV I heard a weird noise. Reminded me of a cricket only much louder. Then the TV would turn off by itself. When I pulled out the old one, there was glass inside the bulb. There was no glass in the TV itself. Overall I am very happy with the purchase. For $35 I don't expect to get more then two years but there is a chance I'll be pleasantly surprised. In the mean time, I don't have to pay $700 to replace our 65" TV. I'd say that's $35 well spent.

I did give this product a 5 star rating but after 5 months the bulb is out again and we have to purchase another one. The seller should get a 5 star rating for get the product out to me in record time but this bulb isn't worth the money at all!!

With only one review, I was taking a risk buying this, as pricing for this exact product varies between $34 to $200. Some of the reviews for the cheaper ones were scary like, the bulb snapped and smoke came out of the TV after only a week. I didn't want to take my chances on those, but saw this was the same exact bulb as the more expensive ones, so I bought it. It arrived promptly and was packaged right so there was no damage. Replacing it was easy as a couple of screws and when we put it in our TV, it lit up brighter and sharper than we've seen it in YEARS! It's been about a week and our TV is going strong. Very bright, very sharp, very strong bulb. If your lamp went kapootz in your DLP TV, buy this one, there's no comparison.
