First one burn out in 1 day, was on maybe like 3 hrs be fore I noticed it. 2nd been on for weeks on may be 4 hrs a day.

These are neat, the 100 Watt for chicks was to hot for my baby chicks, thus a repitle light made them comfortable. All 5 are alive and doing well. Delivery was fast, bulb temp was right.

I keep a heated shelter on my back porch during the winter for stray cats and wanderers, and after accidentally dropping my previous heat lamp, I needed a replacement bulb. I knew this one was designed for reptiles and had a lower wattage than my last heat bulb, but I decided to try it out anyway.Unfortunately, it didn’t provide nearly enough warmth for my particular setup. That said, this wasn’t what the bulb was designed for, so I can’t fault it for that. If you’re looking for a heat source specifically for reptiles and don’t need high wattage or intense heat, this could work for you. But if you need a stronger heat output, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. It's also quite bright.
