🚤Propeller Replacement Guides:
Step 1. Disconnect the motor from the battery before changing the propeller.
Step 2. Hold the propeller and loosen prop nut with pliers or wrench.
Step 3. Remove prop nut and washer. If drive pin is sheared/broken, you will need to hold the shaft steady with a screwdriver blade pressed into the slot on the end of the shaft.
Step 4. Turn the old prop to horizontal for preventing the drive pin from falling out, and pull it straight off. If drive pin falls out, push it back into the armature shaft.
Step 5. Align new propeller with the drive pin.
Step 6. Install prop washer and prop nut.
Step 7. Tighten prop nut 1/4 turn past snug, [25-35 inch lbs.].
Package include: two prop nuts, lock washers and drive pins. Three kits handle virtually all Minn Kota trolling motors.

These spare nuts and pins are nice to have around. I have not needed them on my new trolling motor yet but in times past I have needed them on other trolling motors so I always like to keep spares available. This is a nice little kit, since it has two nuts, two washers and two shafts.

I like these wing nuts with lock washer much better than the nylon nut that comes with most trolling motors. The wing nuts along with the sheer pins makes it a quick change in the filed which is nice, especially if you're on the water. I keep these on the boat for those occasions when needed and it keeps me fishing.
